US and China set aside coronavirus differences and pledge to work together

No, no. This needs to be like that sex tape star fight many years ago. We need to yell "China knows what it did and needs to apologize." Everywhere and anywhere we can.

China has not shared any information with us about the virus. In fact they silenced any in their country that tried to get the word out.

China has reopened the wet markets.

China has done nothing but sabotage and deny information and supplies since this whole thing started.

Regardless if they let this virus lose or not. F China! The world needs an apology before we ever talk to them again!

An apology in the form of relieving all of the worlds debt owed to them, would be appropriate.

It's what they do. They need to be punished with sanctions. The info they are hiding could be helping scientists and doctors. They are also unloading flawed medical PPE and equipment around the globe.

It's not entirely their fault being a slave labor country but it must be dealt with internationally.

I have no ill will toward the people of China.

In fact it is the opposite. China wasn't doing good before all this. The world should be doing everything it can, short of acts of war, to bring down the Chinese government. Not working with them.

ETA - I mean, before we couldn't bring them down because it would ruin the world economy. We got nothing to lose now!

The US needs to start treating China like they were Iran.

In this world we live in admitting fault means you can get sued by everyone. China has a lot of people they need to feed, they produce products for other countries cheap. We should not be suing them, all it will do is raise up the price of everything they sell considerably, it was a mistake, a scientific mistake. Sheet happens.

The medical industry will not admit fault, they make excuses to cover up their mistakes and have instigated the creation of laws to protect themselves from mistakes they make. Pharma has made lots of laws to protect them and profit taking by pharma companies is out of line some times, they create new patentable drugs that have more side effects than the ones they replace lots of times.

What I'd be satisfied with is the industries that fled to china for cheap labor returned to the US and other nations. That's how you punish china, cut them off at the knees.

I'd prefer they learn the lesson and change their practices , apologies from a Nation are easily made and pointless.

China has not shared any information with us about the virus.

Just as well we have scientists then isn't it.

The scientists found that the RBD portion of the SARS-CoV-2 spike proteins had evolved to effectively target a molecular feature on the outside of human cells called ACE2, a receptor involved in regulating blood pressure. The SARS-CoV-2 spike protein was so effective at binding the human cells, in fact, that the scientists concluded it was the result of natural selection and not the product of genetic engineering.

This evidence for natural evolution was supported by data on SARS-CoV-2's backbone -- its overall molecular structure. If someone were seeking to engineer a new coronavirus as a pathogen, they would have constructed it from the backbone of a virus known to cause illness. But the scientists found that the SARS-CoV-2 backbone differed substantially from those of already known coronaviruses and mostly resembled related viruses found in bats and pangolins.

"These two features of the virus, the mutations in the RBD portion of the spike protein and its distinct backbone, rules out laboratory manipulation as a potential origin for SARS-CoV-2" said Andersen.

Regardless if they let this virus lose or not. F China!

They didn't as the scientists have said , it evolved.

The world needs an apology before we ever talk to them again!

Seriously ?

Not pointless, it is the first step to get them to learn their lesson and change their practices.

Seriously ?

It was just a rant.

I question the accuracy of the source, just based on the fact of who it is. Also the report under the one linked is written by a gentleman by the name of Orange Wang...

Who cares if they apologise, it means jack diddly squat! Apologizing means and does nothing at all, they are just words. The only thing I want to see from them is change, but that is already proving to be nothing more than a pipe dream.

Didn't SARS and bird flu originate in China?

It's a cause for concern.

lol, Orange Wang.

You are talking about Hong Kong's most trusted news source.

I trust it as much as the MSM.

The journal's circulation has been relatively stable for years—the average daily circulation stood at 100,000 in 2016. A 2019 survey from the Chinese University of Hong Kong sampling 1079 local households[4] suggested that SCMP was seen as the most credible paid newspaper in Hong Kong.

Cant really say that a bad thing, since Germany went broker then broke after being left with the bill after WW1, only to suffer, an use socialism with a vengeance, and giving back the guns back to most of their citizens...I did say mostly to Germans an anyone but.

Kind of why they weren't left with second bill, an late fees for the first with interest.
