On March 17, 2016 in the city of Palmyra, the senior lieutenant of the Special Operations Forces of Russia, Alexander Prokhorenko, accomplished a feat that aroused admiration throughout the world. Alexander was in the rear of the terrorists for a week, was surrounded by ISIS militants, fired back to the last bullet and "caused fire on himself." Prokhorenko was awarded the title Hero of Russia.

The famous Russian singer Grigory Leps, who is denied entry to the United States, performed the song "Archangel Michael" dedicated to this feat. later, during the consultation of the SOF of Russia Maxim B. (call sign "Ascetic") a video clip was shot. I present it to you.
Unfortunately, no one has written English subtitles yet

Truly heroic action in the face of the enemy.

I have the utmost respect for the Russian people....all of the various ethnicities that constitute "Russian". A truly rugged people....much like us Aussies

If only our leaders seen eye to eye and there were more cooperation.

RIP comrade, you have shown great valor and courage...

"No other death is more honorable than the brave warrior's death on the battlefield. No other merit is higher than giving your life for the good of the homeland." ~ Colonel Boris Drangov

"The soldier above all others prays for peace, for it is the soldier who must suffer and bear the deepest wounds and scars of war." ~ Douglas MacArthur

"The willingness with which our young people are likely to serve in any war, no matter how justified, shall be directly proportional to how they perceive the Veterans of earlier wars were treated and appreciated by their nation." ~ George Washington

A short film as a tribute...

We were both against Germany in WWII, allies then, but now?

As far as commies go, I have far more respect for the Russians than the Chinese at any rate.

There are far more Communists in the USA and Europe than in Russia. Russian communists are marginalized, but in the USA 4 years ago the Bolsheviks and socialists almost came to power

I wouldn't doubt that. At any rate, with my Eastern European roots, I feel more of a connection to Russia then any other of our rivals on the global stage. Makes me hunger for a cabbage dish and some vodka just thinking about it.

Oh, in conditions of self-isolation, vodka and salted cabbage with borsch are the best leisure time, especially with friends

I have always said, the whole Russia is scary and bad thing is the Boomers generation and something we just can't even relate to in Gen X as our view of Russia has always been a wonderful one no matter what dinosaurs in government keep up. And were it to be like I feel, if ever Russians and Americans were to meet on a battlefield and were ordered to shoot one another, it would be an absolute laugh riot joke. There's no animosity toward the Russians and they couldn't have a better reputation. Fast forward to the Millennial generation and those last dying Cold War people who have somehow made Millennials despise Russian and distrust Russians. The nation is a threat to national security in their eyes, surpassing the Boogieman and the Big Bad Wolf. It's one of many areas in which their embracing ignorance and their lack of any desire for knowledge or to connect to people in life, not in a simulated virtual social stage, really makes it suck for the progress that was made and the goodwill my generation shared with Russian people, both at the end of the Soviet Union and in the now, Russian Republic...and the states of the Russian Federation...the old Soviet state's that's...well....like the Turkmens. That place is so whackado I don't think anyone knows what to think of them. The people seem absolutely wonderful. But the rapping, history rewriting, names all the months and days after himself ruler is like Kim Jong Un if he took ecstasy and lightened up on the shootings and starvings.

This man, Alexander Prokhorenko, exemplifies perfectly why the frontline warriors are especially beloved and watched over by Michael.

People think of Michael's greatest virtues to be that of Courage, and Strength. But in reality, all of his virtues are derived from his understanding of Divine Sacrifice.

Or rather, his Love and admiration for us is so great, that his understanding of Sacrifice and its implications weighs heavier on his soul than any other distortions of our reality.
