Title speaks for itself.

Last week I posted a thread when the deaths were 1 per hour.

www.google.com...

The coronavirus death toll in New York City surged to 914 on Monday afternoon, accelerated by six hellish hours that saw the tally spike by 124 — or one death every 2.9 minutes.

That's just one city.

It's NY City man, not just a city.

They were partying and stuff and spread the virus.

We knew this could happen. Doesn't mean it will happen like this in every city.

ETA - And the curve does not peak till April 9th in NY.

According to a model with lower numbers than the first one and it is White House approved.

Then they said it's Iran they're backward there we won't get numbers like that.

Then Spain they said they have an abysmal health care system we won't get numbers like that.

Then

One must bear in mind, NYC literally has people stacked on top of one another, with lots of common areas. That is going to lead to higher rates. Also in the beginning, the younger generation did not take it seriously nor did the officials. The subways, with all those hard surfaces and confined spaces were closed way too late, hell they may still be open.

Eta- no matter the circumstances, it is a lot of life's lost. My point is, not every city or county is going to turn into NYC.

There are 107 deaths per minute in the world. What's the point of these scare tactics?

Sadly, New York citizens are now reaping what New York leaders have sewn, by ignoring warnings from the Trump Administration's Health and Human Services in D.C..

It's difficult to remain hopeful when 50% of the population are utterly clueless.

How many people per sq foot in that city, how many homeless, how terrible is the sanitation on public trans, how many people went pfft just a flu nothing to worry about.

I honestly thought it would be California but either new York or one of the mega cities in cali were going to be blasted, looks like new York drew the short straw.

Threads like these remind me of people fretting on a roller coaster, wringing their hands saying we are still going up over and over we are still going up. Like no chit it's the first damn hill it's the tallest. Everybody is watching everybody knows. We have ways to go look at New Orleans, 2 things are you okay? and are you gonna do this every day?

That graphic is not accurate

www.weforum.org...

If 90% of people stayed home and completely isolated all that would happen is a time shift of the virus spread. It wouldn't disappear in 4 weeks, it would have just peeked 4 weeks later.
