Asteroids have been coming toward Earth since time began. Some of them hit the planet. Lots of these "close" asteroids are considered "potentially hazardous" if they're less than 4.6 million miles away, which several of them have been. I've been watching for the last couple of years because 99% of the articles are using sensationalism instead of common sense.

I am quite aware of the criteria for potentially hazardous asteroids. I monitor them using credible sources. Sensationalism about the massive asteroid coming close to earth in late April is silly. It won't be closer than 3 million miles from our planet however the initiation of DART does concern me because they wouldnt spend resources unless they knew an asteroid in the near future was a great threat. Asteroids aside. I think our biggest threat in the near future will be a complete megnatic pole flip once magnetic north reaches Siberia. There is hard geological stress evidence of this happening periodically and it having a huge impact on our planet.

And there would be no keeping it a secret.

That is sort of what Conspiracy people do, they cherry pick data that allows them to build their conspiracy narrative.

What it comes to Space CT's always seem to forget that NASA is just one space agency in the world and willingly ignore all of the others along with all the amateur astronomers out there.

I didn't say that I know something about asteroids, was just my personal opinion with regards this covid19 and the possibility that we might be hit by an asteroid, without even knowing it.
Oh I forgot, NASA will tell us is it will hit us and when.
And no, they will keep it a secret, same as they're doing it with other things.
Don't tell me you believe NASA for every little thing they came up with.

Even if they discover anything and would be reported to their national agencies, probably they'll ask advice from NASA on what to publicly state.
NASA will report only what they want,not what really is out there.

That covid19 allegedly might be a reason for something bigger and the military started to move personnel in the Cheyenne Mountain.
They admitted that there will be an asteroid passing by Earth in April, but claim that us nothing to be worried about.

The censorship is working at full blast and remember Snowden when he declared about the surveillance of the citizens.

There's no such thing as 100% censorship. No agency is powerful enough to stop everything, no matter how hard they try. They'd have to be already watching every amateur astronomer account 24/7. If they're not, by the time it's caught it's already going to be out there and seen by a lot of people.
