Well many fiscal conservatives have told me we have no right to question any of these prioposals.

Did you know that by questioning this its proof you want people to die?

Its true, I have been told so for a week now.

Isn't that the same logic of passing the Patriot Act, we have to do this right now or were all going to hell in a hand basket!

It is exactly the same mentality. Exactly

I have been ridiculed for bringing that up, I was told the government needed to have unquestioned authhority, and this time they wouldnt abuse it.

Two days later, here we are.

Oh well, this is what people wanted! bring oun the bailouts of billion dollar corps, funding abortion providers, suspension of habeus corpus and printing of monopoly money with no end in site! Im sure nothing can go wrong!

We could be looking at the beginning of the NWO.

The complete disregard for money is laughable at the moment. I'm in Oz and they've doubled welfare for everyone for 6 months.

A few days prior to government mandated millions losing jobs.

We should be grateful it is monopoly money. If money had actual value the consequences would be far more dire.

Also, the abortion stuff has no place here does it? A fellow trump supporter shouldn't be so emotional in their arguments, you just fuel libtards that way.

I dont know..

We find ourselves in a pretty tough position. Once those economic shut downs started happening, it really started limiting our options.

Like many, I think my own ideas are substantially better than a lot thats been going on.. But it also seems like many others are laser focused on rejecting/accepting government action. Not so different from a year ago, I suppose, or the year before, etc. Only way to actually remove that leverage is through a self-sufficient population, imo, and I dont necessarily believe we have the tools right *now* to be able to accomplish that.

If some of those trillions of dollars went towards developing those tools, instead of what I assume to be plenty of nonsense, Id be a bit more optimistic about long term success.

I do think that, in terms of economies and markets, something like this happening globally gives a bit of a buffer in terms of impact. Could be wrong, but I cant imagine the dynamics are the same.

OP what is it that you don't understand about the meaning of the word, "temporary"?

You keep repeating the same crap but you have offered no viable alternative.

A stimulus is not a socialist take over of the government.

And obviously no one is stopping you from asking questions so knock that # off already.

I have offered what I would do on another thread.

Until i have access to all the data the government has which they are not giving out, how could I answer exactly what I would do?

For starters, I would make my threshold for collapsing the economy and spending 6 trillion dollars much much hire than the 50000 trump suggested may die yesterday.

Doing nothing (which would be unforgivable) and having 1 million people die would still be better than giving the government a blank check and collapsing the economy.

So you are saying that the government keeping small businesses alive would collapse the economy.

Yea, I'm done on this thread.

You used to be better then this.

WOnder if they could just skip this whole thing and just start forgiving debts that can never ever be paid. Such as the national debt.

I mean I am pretty conservative, but I am really beginning to see how it is incapable for human beings to understand how to manage this situation anymore.

Let it go ___________, let it go. You will still have your whore wife the mansion, and the secret affair with the black post teen boy. This is all ok. Just forgive the debt man, everything will pan out.

My bad you are right.

I am proposing to stimulate my towns local economy the government sends us 6 trillion dollars in aid.

Some can be zero interests loans though.

Its cool, its only temporary, so there will be not hit to the economy.

I'm pissed, I really am.

I'm not going to say the virus isn't an issue, but it certainly isn't the only variable in all of this. It's not the only thing bringing our economy and nation to it's knees. Even if it was, if this is what brings us to such extremes, what happens when something real happens?

We can take the test, and demand reason and a little gumption from everyone and come out ahead, or we can kick the can down the road.

Spoiler alert, we all know we'll kick the can down the road. We'll have some fake bull run after a little while that will last for 10 years, we'll act like we're on top of the world, and then we'll blame the next balloon on something boringly unoriginal. We'll just scare the bajezus out of people and they'll want whatever measures we'll have to take to ensure we don't reckon with any kind of accountability. God forbid we admit there is so much wrong.

In this time, let's act like we're exceptional because we come together and put aside differences to gEt mUh sTimUlulz... We need the stimuluz. It's my money and I need it now, call 877-FEDS-NOW

No I am saying the opposite, the government collapsing small businesses, as they are doing, would kill the economy.

Collapsing them, then spending 6 trilloon dollars, only a pittance of which will go to small businesses, is not going to help

I just love it.
The GOP rolls out a $2 trillion plan...

The dems bitch it’s a bloated piece of corporate welfare garbage..(they’re right)

Dems roll up their sleeves and the plan grows to a $6 trillion Corporate welfare/progressive agenda piece of garbage.

That’s American politics in a nut shell...

How about they actually put forth a streamlined piece of legislation that doesn’t have carbon quotas, usps bailouts, diversity agenda and voter registration rule changes.

Ya know, fix the fricken issue instead of creating new ones..

If anything, this part seems like it needs more explanation:

$4 trillion will come in the form of liquidity from the Federal Reserve

is that liquidity from, or of the federal reserve?

If it's of, then that could be ok, I would still need to know more to make a decision.
If it's from, then what assists are going bye-bye?

I don't like relief packages that have grey areas of sketchy language in it. There was some in the 3 point plan that was first put out, but it wasn't that bad (needed work, but not a whole lot), the "Pelosi Plan" needed to be taken out back and shredded.

Let's not kid ourselves.

They both sat down, and demanded slices of a pie. Both sides were saying, we don't have enough of the pie.... So they did the only thing they could both do to make each other satisfied. They made the pie bigger.

They'll have no problem playing their roles, because at the end of the day... People will follow them regardless. Just as long as they put on some good WWE showmanship and project "the good fight".

We'll celebrate this for years. It will be taught that we beat the sh*t out of this virus, and bounced back before anyone in the world. We're #1, don't anyone forget that.

Thats the whole probvlem.

Maybe we could acceot these massive plans if basic questions were answered.

But instead its just them pulling things out on the fly, and people screaming at anyone who questioned them.

2 trillion one day. 6 trillion the next. Bailing out cruiselines and abortion clinics

Suspending habeaus corpus.

And all the while people applaud along, and say do more do more, we wont question you!

And right on cue, the democrats and their media allies begin.

Trump advisor Larry Kudlow just said a proposed #Coronavirus stimulus package could be *$6 TRILLION*

That's over 1/3 of U.S. GDP. It should also put to rest the @GOP
lie that there just isn't money available for things like the climate change and healthcare.

I don't get why Trump keeps saying that we need to bail out the cruise ship industry!? What have they done for the American people during this crisis, or lately, except load up out ports with floating petri dishes. There's another cruise ship coming into Florida with a bunch of sick passengers in about a week.

miami.cbslocal.com...

Who the hell would be foolish enough to even want to go on a cruise ship after this mess, there's no saving that business a bail out for them is dumb.

I think all the big ones are registered offshore to the U.S., to avoid taxes I presume. I can imagine though, that they bring in a lot of tourist $$s to whatever ports they visit.

I did hear some offered to let their ships be used as hospital ships.

But ya..yuck!

What is your solution other than to stop the stay at home orders and shutdowns and just let the virus do what is will.

You know that there is not enough hospital beds or workers to deal with the numbers of people who will need hospitalization, but that is okay.

I guess you like the idea of health care rationing and the potential of millions of people dying?

Sounds like a good plan to me.

Again with the abortions.
Surely social distancing lessens the need for abortions right?

How much of that 8 trillion is going to abortions?

Sure. That's how history will remember it. Democrats don't care, they'll be hailed as heros by their base for "getting more".

The right will be the adults in the room when reality is they always play along with these big spending initiatives.

Democrats are republican light. And republicans are democrat light.

I have showed my plan over and over on threads you were all over. Im not retyping it out for you.

By the way trump said 50000 could possibly die yesterday.

I dont think 50000 dead (less than die of gun and auto accidents a year) is worth collapsing the world economy.
