So how much will Trump's policies cost us in the end?

This recession was forecasted in 2019, all that was missing was the 'trigger'

Cant borrow from social security anymore, it's no longer running a surplus and all that's in its coffers is ious.
All they can do is refuse to pay what they are obligated to pay on the ious and cut the benefits.
My guess is that they dont intend on paying any of the deficit.
They'll just keep planting imaginary money trees in their money tree orchard and go out every morning to harvest a few billion dollars bills of imaginary money that we are to imagine are really worth something. It will all work out just fine as long as we stay in the little imaginary world they created for us and never open our eyes to reality.

The tariff revenue was paid by whom???
Oh, ya, that would be the american consumers in the end...
A 63 billion dollar tax hike, just with a new name.

I thought raising taxes on companies was the right thing to do..? You're telling me it doesn't work?

The sad part is, that unless the senate passes this $1.8 Trillion stimulus (corporate bailout) the markets will fail.

That unless we give in to higher taxes and cuts to social security to once again bail out the crony capitalist system which holds us down, the whole country will fail.

We are going to move one step closer to being taxed as if we are a socialist country but without any new services so that crony capitalism can live on and continue to choke us from cradle to grave.

This is the dystopian dilemma, the future that awaits us

We cannot afford to re elect Trump

We don't have four more days , let alone years under this administration without massive sweeping bailouts that we cannot afford

Obama signed off on bailing them all out. Nobody said a word. Look real freaking hard in the mirror. Go back and look again.

You can still order online?

We've stopped all online orders for most people. You can't order online and collect. You have to actually attend the store. You won't get a delivery unless you provide evidence that you're disabled, sick or elderly. You can apply for an exemption under certain circumstances. On top of there being no stock in the stores.

I need ibuprofen for a rotator cuff problem, and the only brand that works is completely out of stock everywhere. And now they say that ibuprofen may make the symptoms of covid-19 worse, so I have no idea what those people are buying it all up for.

I have to walk everywhere, and carrying things, especially with a bung shoulder, avoiding the people who don't grasp the concept of distance and cough and splutter all over the place, kids with runny noses touching everything - and the parents that don't give a damn..

feels like we've entered into a bad twilight zone episode.

At least we still get our bonus.. No ignorant politicians trying to get in the way because they're idiots..

Plenty of people said many words.

I voted for Trump.

I'm looking and I'm regretting.

You regret voting for Trump? So, you wish you would have voted for HRC?

Can I ask why? How do you think she would have handled this crisis differently? Honest question.

Oh, I still have ibprophen.. been needing it quite a bit lately also. Will be taking alot more if I have to go walking through store after store just trying to come up with enough food to make 7 meals. Which is all I am trying to do. 7 decent meals for the week..
But ya, wal mart is taking orders for pick up, at least where I am at. They are only letting you order a two days in advance and if you dont reserve a time slot early in the morning, there probably isnt gonna be a time slot open for you. But well, doesnt seem to matter much because they are sold out of everything anyways.
Then last weeks order, I didnt get half of what I ordered even. They were sold out. Wonder if there is any crawfish in that creek behind out house? Never had crawfish before, dont even know if that is the rye right kind, but in a pinch??? And you know once those stimulus checks hit the banks we ain't gonna be finding crap!!

I know I'm gonna have to clamp down on my sons, and guests here. This crap where I cook enough for 6 people and have half of them turn up their nose to what I cook only to hear the danged microwave running half the night while they go through the hot pockets and such that I buy for the days when I feel too crappy to cook has to stop. I'm throwing away a fortune in dead food. Food that we could be eating this week.
Otherwise, I'll just hand out a hundred dollars to each of my sons and they can go fend for themselves..

~Nerd Time~

Rand Paul + Covid19 test as f(y) = [Rand Paul]xz
where f(y) is
[((Covid19 kit(z))Tester(z))(Test(z))]
x = Covid19 Positive
z = Integrity, being valued 1 or 1i

Basic formula we have here, with z being strange. The i next to 1 is to denote if the integrity is compromised in some way.

I put it this way to show that Rand Paul tested positive regardless of the integrity of anything involved. If any of those points where compromised then a negative can become positive. A positive can also become negative.

~End~

Maybe I'm being too suspicious, but... how much do we know about even THIS stuff? Because Republican Majority in the Senate has just been neutralized by the virus... this is bananas.

The Dems are going to destroy this countries economy just because they could not impeach trump with evidence that was not interpreted correctly. People in this country are not blind, they will see what is going on. The Democrats are playing with fire, they are going to bet fried. There is no way people in this country are that dumb that they cannot see what the Democrats are doing, they are going to trash their congressmen's chances of getting re-elected, and as far as president, Biden can't even remember what state he is in. We cannot have a president of the united states like Biden who is getting senile. Couldn't they find one decent candidate to run for president, all of them were weird.

Sadly, from what I've seen people are that stupid. Every time there is an opening to place blame at trump and to and extent, Republicans feet, they do so. Sans fact and reason.

Bitter Democrats have goals in mind.

One goal is to get the unemployment rate to somewhere between 12.5% --- 15.0% 😷

They want total chaos 😷

American Democrats and the NWO are working together !!!! 🥶

The republicans in the senate knew more about what was coming than any of us did. Ain't our fault they were too stupid to try to protect themselves. Cpac, maralargo...
Which by the way...
I hear maralargo has been shut down??
Well. So sorry. But they seem to have been so busy putting on a front that it was all nothing to worry about, they didn't notice the were walking into a few bug nests...
So, of course, we need to find a way to blame the dems when they end up in quarantine or worse, sick...
Maybe we should just force all of our federal elected officials into quarentine.. only allow them on the congressional floors for votes... ya know, just to protect then from themselves???

Get real.

Unless they mobilize the national guard and civilian contractors to deliver food and medicine around the country.

Any stimulus is useless to begin with. That should be the first priority.

Back to bull snip politics.

The Republicans turned this stimulus bill into a nightmare. It’s basically a giant slush fund for big business and billionaires.

The craziest part? It gave Mnuchin sole discretion of the payouts and 6 months before he was required to publicly release the details of it. All the while not giving any kind of stimulus to people below a certain income threshold. The people lower on the totem pole are the ones who need it the most. Who will have the biggest food insecurity because of this.

Anyone in their right mind would have voted against this giant bailout for giant corporations and billionaires. Because that’s all it is. To the people who really need it to keep rent paid and food on the table it was a giant middle finger.

Just letting you know there are a few of us out there acknowledging this while ATS’s right wingers tighten the blinders and continue crying that the do-nothing Dems want to see the common man starve.

Paid only by people who choose to purchase foreign production -- unlike other corporate taxes (which apparently shouldn't be raised now because it's passed to consumers. I guess mandating higher wages is out, too, because, guess what...)
