Kenny Rogers was always someone that had an easy listening voice for me even though I was not a big fan of most country songs. I remember him during his rock and roll days with the band called, First Edition and even before that the mega hit band called the "Association" youtu.be...

But I must admit he was smart going to country songs when he did. youtu.be...

Known for his husky voice and grey beard, Rogers spanned jazz, folk, country and pop with such hits as Lucille, Lady and Islands in the Stream
He was under hospice care and died of natural causes in Georgia

And let's not forget the psychedelic one. Or maybe it would be better if we did?

Trippy.

I always liked his music. Even that piece.

What a crappy buzz to wake up to this morning.

RIP Kenny Rogers.

Not sure if it was better to hear this before I went to sleep or find out after I woke up. Poop.

He really had a heck of a good ride in life. Liked his music. And he could sing very well. I think he was a good story teller in his songs.

Kenny Rogers....you will be missed. You sang so well...your lyrics were gold. You made Willie Nelson sound like a street performer. The world will be sad. All will mourn the Gamblers passing

I’m bummed. Kenny had such a great voice.
I worked security at a KR concert in college & got a high five from the man himself when he ran offstage.

RIP Kenny.

I just mentioned him yesterday.
A very easy to listen to voice.

Guess he can count his money now.

Thank you for posting this. I found out about 4 hours ago and I just couldn't post it.

Breaks my heart he's gone.

The world just got a lot smaller and darker.

Seems like Kenny has been around forever. I remember he was huge in the 80's. A lot of great songs and I have the utmost respect for him. My personal favorite song of his is The Greatest.
