Trump you got to lay down the LAW on this behavior of buying up your own company stock to drive up the price, so then they sell their own personal stock for a profit. All the major company's have been doing this for decades using loans the company borrows to buy stock back and then selling their own personal stock during the run up to take profits by manipulate the stock price in the market. If any owners do this they should be tared and feathered.

Trump allowed this sort of behavior. One of the reasons why the markets are in a deep hibernation is because big time investors arent playing that game anymore.

Why are shareholders allowing these people to stay in control of their companies? Not only did they not return that money spent on buybacks to shareholders as dividends, they allowed insiders to benefit greatly in their stock sales, while sicking shareholders with soon to be insolvent companies. Those that chose to borrow money to buy back stock should not be allowed to be in management at any publicly traded company going forward. Clear malfeasance and RICO statues should claw back most of the profit from these insiders sales.

It goes way back when they deregulated the market. Way before Trump, he has stated that's one of the things he wants to change though.

Has anyone seen the list of retiring CEO's probably now heading for their bunkers, they knew it was coming because they basically caused it. They wont be holding dollars or stock, they wont be holding SLV or GLD. They will be on productive Farmland .I hear Bush has a Ranch in Argentina.

The bull market that the previous admin unleashed was egged on by the GOP, tax cuts across the board to allow 'market systems' to flow "FREELY", caused a massive rift within the markets. People who invested were not seeing returns, even dividends were low, the money invested was not bringing back sound returns and wasn't even trickling down to the everyday working class person.

Bottom line, the corporate hacks were taking the lions share, and more. Aka Buybacks.

Bull.

The Dems tried to tie the trillion dollar tax break to workers wages. Trump and the GOP said 'nyet'.

Sorry but it sure as hell happened last time. The companies got bailed out and bought back shares. I can remember thinking it was so stupid and such a waste of money.
