A Sign, or just bad luck?

POSTED: 1:35 p.m. EDT July 3, 2003
UPDATED: 1:45 p.m. EDT July 3, 2003

FOREST, Ohio -- Damage to a church in Forest, Ohio, is estimated at $20,000 after a preacher asked God for a sign.

A member of the First Baptist Church said a guest evangelist was preaching repentance and seeking a sign from God when lightning struck the steeple.

Now that is just amazing! Imagine that, being in congregation within a burning building?!
Some faithful members I'd say. Who knows, maybe it was a sign.
A sign god wanted a better church!

So if a sign costs 20k, how much do you think a miracle would run?

What was the pretense of the sign. What was the reason behind asking for it? Was it blind or was there a question to be answered?

Was it a sign from "Him" up there?

sometimes when you want something to really really happen badly, it does! well sometimes anyway!

Say! if you were in a field, and you wanted to see a "Bunny Rabbit" hopping around, chance's are you'd see one, only cause thats where your most likely to see one?

You with me?

Nope? I dont think i am either now!

(i think i will have another glass of wine)

Uh, I would have gone for a gas station 76 sign to roll by due to the wind, but ok.

Very cool story. Thanks for posting it.

Does anyone else have interesting personal accounts like this?

I've had many that were explicit to me but not so "dramatic" as having a lightening bolt come down from the sky!

I saw lightning hit the same place twice... about ten years apart (and, no, the spot isn't a lightning rod or steeple.... it's the corner of a sidewalk square). Not an amazing story... but I just wanted to disprove that old axiom.

PS I wonder if there's something buried under that cement.

It was the HAARP who did it.

Well an uncle of my childhood friend was struck by lightening twise. He's still alive, but his whole nerve system is freaked out. He shakes like his holding a Hilti drill and can't speek very well. Quite difficult to keep a serious face when you watch him drink coffee (that was perhaps a bit cruel, I know, but true indeed).

Blessings,
