Of course it won’t be relinquished. Our way of life has now changed, permanently. I wouldn’t be surprised if domestic travel will soon require permission in the form of a medical passport or something similar. Certainly, international travel will.

Utilities and other industries will become nationalized like in continental Europe and these stopgap paychecks will become universal basic income. All while the idiot public sit at home with their horde of toilet paper playing video games.

Kind of ironic it’s the people who were waving a big socialist boogeyman in everyones face that went full on communist.
