Sorry I can't link from my phone....but I was just reading an article on CNBC.com regarding the governor's shelter in place order for the whole state.
It said grocery stores, pharmacies, banks, and cannibis clubs (I'm guessing cannibis stores?) and others are essential services and will remain open.

Side note: Weed prices are going up, which is great for Northern California growers who got screwed by the state government.

What happened to the growers?

Why would prices rise? Access hasn't been denied, is there a rise in demand, and if so, is it because people have nothing better to do right now?

It's no secret that a majority of the seasons harvests are shipped out of state for better pricing.

Are prices higher to compensate greedy growers?

How do you even set the price for such things?

Weed stores are open here in Vegas as well...however my dispensary is only taking orders through their app and have told customers to only come to the store when they text to tell you the order is ready. They had a sign up saying only 10 people allowed inside so I guess there may still be a wait at times.

Priorities.

If they closed the cannabis stores, some people would lose their minds. LOL

So, keep them high, keeps them calm.

Win Win.

many people myself included use cannabis as a med.
Without it my appetite would go away almost completely and I would lose lots of weight and become severely malnourished.

Not a good place to be in if I catch a virus.

A stoned, happy population is better than an angry, anxious, uptight one for when they announce the economy is kaput and they come to confiscate your hoard of toilet paper.

Stressed out people forced to quarantine together drinking liquor.
What could go wrong?

Alcohol actually may kill many kind's of virus, but how much alcohol would you need to consume to kill this one, I remember a tale of a homeless guy whom was found in a warehouse, he was so full of alcohol that they police thought that he had died rather more recently than he actually had which was perhaps a month before but this body as so saturated in the stuff it had preserved his flesh.

Trying to wrack my brain's and if I recall he had been dead for something like three month's, it was also winter but had seldom fallen below freezing so the preservation was mostly down to the alcohol in his system which may also have been what killed him.
