Politics aside even in the mud pit.

The Chicoms with their bull# #ed us and the lack of testing early on made it worse.

Flattening the cure is the only option at this point

We will get through this but it will not be pretty

It’s a mess, I will parrot what these leaders are afraid of a us metropolis, turning into a wuhan, or Italy, it is astonishing, concerning, and truly unbelievable. Some of it may truly be over reactions but who wants that blood on their hands. 🤷‍♂️ It is ez for us to criticize, but I would not want to be a mayor, governor, or potus right now.

That's what I was thinking, but you beat me to it. Unless they really do want the entire country to descend into anarchy, they have to keep shipping up and running.

Too many people hoarded TP instead of food.

It kills me to imagine the millions out of work right now.

And the thousands, if not millions of businesses that may be no more.

We did some carry-out this week, not fast food but real restaurants, and you want to see some sad people?
Pizza places may do just fine, but real restaurants may be gone.
Mom and pop whatevers.

There's a fine line between safety and economy.
We'll see which this move tosses aside.

Judging by the shelves today, they are hoarding food now as well.
No tuna, oatmeal, canned soup or PB. Little bread.
We were afraid to see the dairy aisle.

We'll do the same as we can.

Still looking for wings tomorrow from the local wing place because it's what we do on Fridays. I don't know what we'll do for food on Saturday, but I imagine it will be takeout from somewhere.

We will see what it is on Sunday when husband goes out to shop. He's the designated errand man right now since he knows aseptic.

Last week, we had all the stuff we wanted/needed, but we had our dry goods stocked. It was fresh stuff we were after, and it will be the same this week too for the most part.

Dairy aisle? (even the metal shelving was taken at the local super Walmart) one could have lost a hand in the frenzy.

And every clerk saying "please come back in a day or two, we'll be stocked.." don't seem to understand it will be going out much quicker than coming in.

Stores are wiped around here.

Instead of staying home, people will be hitting up stores daily if they're able to.

Has the cure become (way) worse than the disease?

But it's not just California, one of the States in the USofA.

It is one of the largest economies in the world.

I know. This will have effects beyond the infection. The ripples will last for years

I take it they are scared to death of the pandemic. I am doing my best to see some angle from the government, to hurt itself in order to create some nefarious goal, I just don’t see it. I think fear may be the catalyst to these decisions, as opposed to logic, or these governments have more data than us. Remember the virus can still mutate into something worse. It’s bad DTOM. unbelievable, it was just 2 weeks ago things were still normal, and we were weirdos on the update threads.

I fear it will be way more than ripples.
And last for many years.
In ways he cannot even imagine.

I think the reality presently, is hard to handle and understand. I was at a client’s home today, over 60 etc. I pulled out hand sanatizer, when I enter her home and washed my hands for comfort, she told me she could not find any anywhere, she also told me she has asthma. Yep before I left I gave her that sanatizer bottle, she works. Sad, sad, times she was also scared she was going to lose her job, she works at a dry cleaner shop. This will pass, it’s crazy, but it will pass. I hope that made her feel better and hope it keeps her safe from the virus.
