So when Trump and his stalwart followers were saying the virus was a hoax, Tucker Carlson, one of Trump’s Fox News media supporters, went to a party at Mar Logo and pulled Trump's coat to the reality that we have a big problem.

It's been reported in the news and is apparently true since here is an interview with Tucker where he tells us the story. Below is a small portion of the interview, I tried to quote the vital part.

Q: And what was your impression? There was a birthday party for a former Fox news host, Kimberly Guilfoyle, and in part you were there for that, right?

A: I had no idea that was in progress until I walked into it. I had no idea. I didn’t know it was her birthday until I walked into the room. My intention was to get in and out of there without being seen by anybody. And I had even asked the Secret Service to help me do that because, again, I was embarrassed that I was doing this and I didn’t feel it was my role. I didn’t want anyone to know I was doing it.

Q: Was it prearranged that you were going to have an audience with the president?

A: Yeah, I mean, I had called over there. I have spoken to people there. Yeah.

Q: And so they said there’ll be a time for you to go into another room with the president and have a private meeting.

A: Yeah. It’s not like Trump was calling me up and saying, “What do I do?” I mean, that’s the opposite of what happened. So it’s probably wrong for me to even say that this happened, but I am. But it would definitely be wrong for me to get into details to what they said or anything like that.

Q: Tell me what it is that you conveyed to him.

A: I said exactly what I’ve said on TV, which is this could be really bad. My view is that we may have missed the point where we can control it. Once you get cases of community transmission, as we have all over the country now, by then it was clear it was happening. I know someone very well who was in the ICU—a personal friend of mine who I had just had dinner with a month and a half ago was in the ICU with double pneumonia and struggling for life. And so I just want to make it clear this is totally real; people you know are going to get it. And I’m concerned based on conversations I’ve had that we don’t have the medical capacity to deal with it. I think it’d be very hard to keep it from spreading given the nature of American life.

A very long interview here's the link again

I'm not sure your point? I'm sure Trump got a ton of feedback from many people, maybe even Tucker. Isn't that what a leader should do? Now Tucker being a TV news person and not a specialist he gave his opinion which is about as good as yours or mine.

Tucker is really smart and convinced Trump that this is a bad disease.

I'm just being a reporter here. I don't really see any mud pit fight here but I put it in here because it might degenerate into some kind of dispute. It doesn't have to.

My intention was to get in and out of there without being seen by anybody.--- I didn’t want anyone to know I was doing it.

If he didn't want anyone to know, it sort of makes ya wonder why he did the interview.

Kind of sad if it took Tucker to convince trump and not top-level scientists and doctors... Hopefully that wasn't the case..

Carlson frequently talks about how the highest-level people have virtually destroyed America.
They're selfish, greedy, and sociopathic. They don't care about the citizens.

I'm guessing credibility really doesn't mean a goddamned thing to you, does it?

You say after throwing the first punch of the fight when you said,

So when Trump and his stalwart followers were saying the virus was a hoax...

You are such a hypocrite. With this pandemic being so serious, and people dying, you felt the need, no the compulsion, to open your post IN THE MUDPIT with a political smack. Then have the gall to back off and say your intentions are honorable.

Ha, far from it....but then I don't expect anything higher from you anyways.

Well that seems to be the narrative that Willtell wants to push on his story, but if you read the article it paints a different picture.

Depending on your viewpoint, for better or worse, Tucker is someone Trump is willing to hear bad news from without going Twitter on him. That's a pretty short list, outside of Trump's Family.

Personally, I like Tucker for the most part. I also like Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti on Rising. Strange bedfellows I know, but they all see through the charade of the Two Party rule. They see through all the BS politicians on all sides heap on the masses. I think those three are the most in tune with the needs of Average Americans. They get what Populism here should really be focused about......helping the average American. Trump gets that to a degree as well, better than any other American Politician.

You could do a LOT worse listening to someone other than them. Be glad that Trump is listening to Tucker.

It shouldn't have been that hard, Trump is the guy that said this thing will disappear like magic..dammit, I don't even need to quote him.

To be fair, Tucker was one of the very first of any major commentators to come out with a proper serious and balanced perspective on this. It was seriously Cronkite-esque and worth watching when he did. It was also not the popular narrative. This was before talking to the pres. I am not a huge Tucker fan, but this was spot on and needed to be said at the time.

MODERATORS: The first sentence of this post contains a provably and demonstrably false statement, as has been proven in media and here on ATS countless times, and as you can see here -

Transcript of Trump NOT calling NCoV-19 a hoax... nope, not at all. .

(( Copy/Pasted excerpt from link follows:

President Trump: "With your help, we have exposed the far left’s corruption and defeated their sinister schemes and let’s see what happens in the coming months. Let’s watch. Let’s just watch. Very dishonest people. Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus, you know that right? Coronavirus, they’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs. You say, “How’s President Trump doing?” They go, “Oh, not good, not good.” They have no clue. They don’t have any clue. They can’t even count their votes in Iowa. They can’t even count. No, they can’t. They can’t count their votes. One of my people came up to me and said, “Mr. President, they tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia.” That didn’t work out too well. They couldn’t do it. They tried the impeachment hoax. That was not a perfect conversation. They tried anything. They tried it over and over. They’d been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning. They lost. It’s all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax." ))

So Mods, my question is this:
The author of this post began with a dishonest and flagrant mischaracterization, to say the least (I would say rotten steaming BS).

At what point does such a post qualify for relocation to the Ludicrous Online Lies or HOAX Bin forums?

Is there a line, and where does it lie (no pun intended)? Is the line for the Political Mud Pit different from other forums?

Thanks for any info you can provide. Stay safe friends.

They don't even know the death rate. How can they when they don't know how many people have got the virus.

I'm leaning one thing in this experience. A lot of these so-called experts are pretty stupid.

Tucker I guess really was afraid of all the drama going on. I don’t blame him, it’s certainly fear-inducing.

The word is that Trump had been listening to his son in law who advised him that the virus was media hype and when it started to go crazy Trump was pissed at Jared.

I don’t trust or believe Tucker Carlson. In this case, he may be telling the truth. Or a half-truth.
