It’s much easier than that.
All you need to do is get drunker than Cooter Brown and make an ass out of yourself,
The mods will hit you on the nose with a rolled up newspaper and set you in a chair .

Your soul grew (so did theirs) handshakes all around.

Is your life always that exciting and frustrating? Shame you will probably never see that cute cop again. That should depress you a little.

Do you mean I was right ? 🥳

I don’t have my reading glasses on.

I wasn’t even sure the dog had a tail.

I was just shamelessly using you to get a bump for the thread .

Sounds like you drove I-75. That used to be a calmer highway. Some sections of it in Tennessee are awful now. Truckers still flying like wild men down the steep inclines ?

Yeah, that was a trip from Hell. Good thing the accident wasn't serious.

Cheers

When we first started going to Florida we took US 27 all the way down to Tampa then caught State Route 301 to the Tamiami Trail and down to Naples.

It was a four day plus ordeal. I was pretty young back then. But one thing that stuck in my head was that we went through a town in Tennessee where the speed limit was 17 miles per hour .

Funny how stuff like that sticks . 🤔

But back to your point.

I 75 never had a chance .

The last section in Michigan was completed in the mid 70s .

Shortly after that the Yoopers and Trolls descended on it towing their 60 ft.² Shasta RVs behind road salt rusted ford Pintos with bald four ply tires .

It could best be characterizes as a almost Pikey like invasion .

The only difference was I can understand the pikeys !

There is one small but amazing difference I’ve noticed lately. For the last 30 years Georgia wasn’t endless blur of orange barrels which meant doubled fine speed traps . ( that was certainly a racket )

Now you see a lot fewer of either and Tennessee is the new speed trap . I guess the federal speed limit changes pissed Tennessee off. Enter Sammy Hagar .....,

I think I’m rambling so I’ll just stop now . Lol

I remember the 70s, when I-75 wasn't yet complete in all parts of Tennessee and Kentucky. Twisty roads, old gas stations, and "treats" that had already disappeared from a lot of areas: RC cola and Clark candy bars. Oh yeah, and the painted barns. SEE ROCK CITY. I'm sure you've seen that sign a few times!

Cheers

I bet I’ve seen that sign 1000 times .

Never saw rock cities though . Lol

Stuckey’s pecan logs , Howard Johnsons 31 flavors of ice cream and small fleabag motel’s that lived up to the name fleabag .

I almost forgot but when you got south of Tampa there was a towering phosphate mine with a excavator taller than a three-story building .

We never missed it . Which was probably because we couldn’t miss it ?

The best part was that I was young enough not to give a crap about any of it .

Good times !
