I have no problems with people that prepare for any type of disaster.
I feel everyone should be encouraged to be preppers.I do have a problem
with people who buy out store shelves of products we all need then sell
them on Amazon or Craigslist for MAJOR bucks.

Someone on Craigslist was charging $2.00-$2.50 per roll of toilet paper.
Another was charging $20.00 for a 10oz size of 35 disinfecting wipes.The
same "seller" was also charging $40.00 for a 16.7oz size of 80 wipes.I had
read on Yahoo news that one man tried selling hand sanitizer on Amazon
and was shut down for it.Now,he is left with over 70,000 bottles of sanitizer.

I also have no problem with people who stock up products to sell, the price
gouging is too much.I don't have to worry, but I know that some people got
burned by these practices.I also know that it is human nature to be greedy
and selfish.
I just thought I would rant a bit and move along with the rest of my day.

I've been staying home. I do not suffer fools.

When I run out of paper I will simply leaf through the neighbor's mail while taking hefty dumps on their lawn.

Like that #hole who bought like 17000 hand sanitizers to price gouge people.

He has 17, 700 Bottles of Hand Sanitizer and nowhere to sell them

Good. Price Gougers should be tarred and feathered.

On March 1, the day after the first coronavirus death in the United States was announced, brothers Matt and Noah Colvin set out in a silver S.U.V. to pick up some hand sanitizer. Driving around Chattanooga, Tenn., they hit a Dollar Tree, then a Walmart, a Staples and a Home Depot. At each store, they cleaned out the shelves.

Over the next three days, Noah Colvin took a 1,300-mile road trip across Tennessee and into Kentucky, filling a U-Haul truck with thousands of bottles of hand sanitizer and thousands of packs of antibacterial wipes, mostly from “little hole-in-the-wall dollar stores in the backwoods,” his brother said. “The major metro areas were cleaned out.”

The next day, Amazon pulled his items and thousands of other listings for sanitizer, wipes and face masks. The company suspended some of the sellers behind the listings and warned many others that if they kept running up prices, they’d lose their accounts. EBay soon followed with even stricter measures, prohibiting any U.S. sales of masks or sanitizer.

Now, while millions of people across the country search in vain for hand sanitizer to protect themselves from the spread of the coronavirus, Mr. Colvin is sitting on 17,700 bottles of the stuff with little idea where to sell them.

# that guy.

Toilet Paper is the New Gold

On Ebay (I hope these people are joking) TP is for sale in the thousands to millions of dollars.
I'm waiting on Alex Jones to get in on this as he is already selling toothpaste the he claims kills the virus.

They should force him to sit on the sidewalk and donate all of them. Only one per person though. So he has to personally apologize to 17,000 people.

They must be full of crap to need that much TP. Look this will blow over in about 45 days if my math is correct. A few 85 degree days of bright sunshine and fresh air, will kill this sucker.

Hoarders don’t sell their hordes.

The folks who are selling their stores of TP and whatnot are “Capitalists!”

Supply a demand, no matter how arcane the demand, for whatever price the market will bear.

Talked to my dad today to see how he was doing. He's 75 and in decent health. I asked how his TP supply was, he laughed and said he had one roll left. So he went to the store to get some and a few other things, and you guessed it. They didn't have anything he needed. Fortunately it's just him now and he can get by without much, but I will probably venture out tomorrow and take him a package. I bought four of the six roll packs that were on sale last Tuesday before all hell broke loose here, just in case I have to work from home for a lengthy period. Twenty-four rolls isn't that much and I usually start buying extra for the summer (wife doesn't work) anyway so it's far from hoarding. The people I ran into at WM and Meijer were just as disgusted as I was. It's stupid stupid stupid. If an asteroid hit somewhere and knocked out a few million people I could see being nervous, but this is just insane.

I think what we need is a series of stories about mysterious house fires in the homes of the TP hoarders until people make the “obvious” connection of spontaneous combustion.

Problem solved and fresh doom porn to boot.

Yeah you're right..

Sounds like to send the right message I need to hoard and TP houses like it was Halloween of '97.

Bunch of idiots afraid of the sniffles *sigh*

There’s two factoids on using newspaper .

The black ink bleeds thru onto your hands and other places best not spoken of . .

And the glossy ad’s are counter intuitive to any definition of the word hygiene that I know.

To hell with prosecutions, I want massive public shaming. Like that guy with the hand sanitizers actually thought he would get sympathy if there was an article written about him?

He should be driven into the woods...or flown to Italy without a single bottle of sanitizer.

No hand sanitizer for YOU!

Personally, after going to several stores which were cleaned out of TP. We finally found one with plenty and we had no choice but to buy more than we needed, It's not something I normally do but with the way people are carrying on I had no choice in the matter.
