Stars and Reply capability down for Corona Virus Thread 4?

At least for me, I can't see stars or the capability to reply on the posts in the Corona Virus Thread Part 4 this morning. I do see them for other threads. ????

That thread had a wealth of information. Maybe even some secret stuff that shouldn't have made it into the public domain.

Collectively, ATS researchers are incredibly talented. That can be good...or bad, depending on what's dug up and exposed.

Board Business and Questions (BBQ) never has allowed stars, but you can flag the thread.

My guess is that it was accidentally locked.

I was just wondering, is looking at posts with the most stars a form of confirmation bias? It's what I tend to do.

For e.g I wonder if the nay sayers look for posts with the least amount of stars (allies) 🤔🤔🤔

I doubt that, the mods here have no trouble spelling out exactly why a thread is locked and or a member's post deleted or otherwise edited.

I would suggest Agit8dChop alert the thread so whichever mod is on currently can address the issue. It's the small hours here in the U.S., so mostly likely it will be a mod from another country, but you never know.

DTOM has been doing a great job of keeping posters in line and has always been fair.

If its just a case of accidentally being locked, how are mods not aware of it yet? 🤔

Well, let's see. It's the middle of the night, and most of our volunteer staff is still asleep. And without knowing for sure why it was closed, I'm not going to reopen it until there's more staff input as to what's going on.
