So Trump 2020.

Didn't vote for him last time.

Based on his performance in office, he has my vote now.

I totally expect trump to get re elected unless the mkt. tanks and it's shown this flu bug kills a bunch of people. SXSW was cancled, Burning man is about to be. When people are afraid to get together and have a good time...Houston, we have a problem.
The electorate being as malleable as they are will put the blame on the WH. At least Pres. Truman had a sign on his desk..."the buck stops here"

Of course Obama will still get the blame from the GOP as usual, but it won't work this time. Americans aren't known for their long attention span.

Heh, yeah, those moderate Republicans are a bitch.

Mccain, Romney, this guy, hell.. even Weld had the nerve to run against the President.

None of those you named are "moderate Republicans."

They are merely Progressives with an "R" behind their names come ballot time.

As opposed to the Progressives with a "D" behind their names.

Same thing, at the end of the day.

Globalists.

~shrug~

But they fundamentally disagree on all manner of policy and legislation, specifically fiscally and liberal vs conservative views on society.

Abortion, LGBT, minorities, but also taxes, workers wages, gun rights, etc.

They have globalist similarities and could be bi-partisan on things in favor of it but could never be in the same political party. They have to fit in somewhere.

Trump 2020!

You would actually be doing your kids, and their kids, (and their kids) a favor , even if you don't really know it.

I think the problem here might be the source in the OP
is taking his words out of context?

Just looked up what he actually is saying, its more
like "the Democrats keep pushing this issue, let's
beat them at their own game".

Crushing our own economy, as the Green New Deal would have us do, will not stop worldwide growth in emissions or decrease worldwide energy demand.

www.nationalreview.com...

I am quite leery of the "election climate" we are in,
and realize we need to be careful about falling for
the bag of twitter dirty tricks.

My issue is that democrats propose something, the republicans recoil in horror, then do the same thing just change the damned name of the proposal!

I don't see his proposal is the same thing the
Dim Dem's are putting out.

Not being critical of you DB, but that article
does not even quote Crenshaw.

*Shrugs*

Not going to get into a tussle.

They don't fundamentally disagree on any of that, actually.

A hint....

Don't listen to what they say.

Watch what they vote for.

Wedge issues are just used to divide the citizens.

There was no difference between W Bush and Obama as far as the real policies they implemented.

The only difference was the words coming out of their mouths

Until science can ACCURATELY predicted the weather I'm going to be skeptical about science ACCURATELY predicting climate change.

Wait, didn't you hear? It's "The science is !"

That whole weather thing. Its the weather..its the seasons changing that happen like clockwork. Sometimes an Ice Age occurs; then sometimes the Ice Age ends do to warming volcanic activity. Feeling lucky or unlucky? EARTH has endured those calamities regardless of human activity.

At least Crenshaw isn't proposing any tax increases. He's proposing using existing DOE funds and giving tax credits to companies doing research on carbon capture technology and recycling carbon. Instead of promoting carbon as a problem or waste product, he's trying to get people to view carbon as a commodity that can be recycled and used to create power. So, unless you think we need to be cutting DOE's budget altogether, there isn't much reason to fear this proposal.

You are fundamentally correct. He is trying to pick winners/losers. That said, as a guy whose family directly profits from natural gas holdings, I think he's dreamy. Keep it coming Danny Boy!

It's an EPA mathematical formula...

Don't do that.

Don't EVER say those two words that close together again!

There is nothing "mathematical" about the EPA. Part of the application to be a part of the EPA is an SAT-based math test. The requirement to be hired is you have to score less than 20. They have a science section too... maximum score on that part is 10.

You're still confused... it isn't about party. Never was. Never will be. It's about holding politicians accountable and making sure they don't do stoopid. Crenshaw did stoopid... Crenshaw gets called out on it.

Get your Democrats to stop doing stoopid and they'll actually get support too.
