Why would being an illegal immigrant provide you with an elevated status?

It doesn't.

It seems to offer superior rights to normal citizenship. Why are they better?

They are not, it is just a skewed view that some, for some reason, want to believe.

They break the law and get away with it. More than that, they break the law and get rewarded for it.

No they don't. Not any more than anyone else who breaks the law and gets away with it.

Where does it say they get rewarded?

The dissent in this ruling has to do with who has the right to try them, state or feds, it doesn't say that they are not going to stand tall before the man.

I would like someone explain to me why it's NOT ok to prosecute someone for identity theft, whether they are in the country illegally or not! How was this not 9-0?

But they must PROVE they are here in the United States Illegally!

Actually, it is the US that decides who is and isn't under their jurisdiction.

You can look up how many illegal mexicans are in US prisons to see how wrong you are about Mexico's stance on things meaning something.

We could .... maybe.... change that stance?

Since it's up to us.

If an illegal alien murders somebody, just try them, and if they're convicted send them back to their home nation with that conviction on record.

Let the country decide whether to jail them or not. Sanctions or war if they choose "not". Since openly permitting one of your citizens, un punished, to murder a citizen of another nation is an act of war and all.

Until you do, and it really isn't up to you (the average citizen), that isn't how it is done.
