It seems to offer superior rights to normal citizenship. Why are they better?

They are not, it is just a skewed view that some, for some reason, want to believe.

No they don't. Not any more than anyone else who breaks the law and gets away with it.

Where does it say they get rewarded?

The dissent in this ruling has to do with who has the right to try them, state or feds, it doesn't say that they are not going to stand tall before the man.
