One thing we have had drilled in our heads is.... To investigate Candidate Joe Biden, is interfering with a presidential election.
Joe Biden is in a potentially bad situation....... and he not only has himself to worry about but his son as well.........and remember that one line he uttered while he was bragging about getting the Ukrainian prosecutor fired...... Go ahead call Barak he knows all about it. Joe has some friends in the party who do not want any investigation of any kind.
Joe also has a big mouth and doesn't think before he speaks.
As long as Joe is in the race there will be no investigations...... that narrative is already established.
If Joe is the nominee that holds true up to the elections
If Joe is elected he can make everything go away
If he loses to Trump and is no longer a political rival..... Joe, his son.... and a whole lot of people who have dirty hands can be investigated and charged without prejudice.

Bernie signed a Will Not Run contract. His job was to keep his supporters on the hook for as long as possible. He did so by telling them exactly what they wanted to hear. Free college, free healthcare, student loan forgiveness.... and the billionaires were gonna pay for it. Sound a lot like mexico is gonna pay for the wall.

Bernie is going to give a speech telling his followers that he lost fair and square. He will tell them they should not be angry but that they should be proud... and rattle off a list of accomplishments..... things like, We forced them to begin the conversation".... We brought this to the forefront.
Then he is going to give you all kinds of reasons why you should vote for Biden

Bernie has been using his supporters as pawns. Moved into position to be sacrificed, so that a higher piece can hopefully win the game.
Bernie and the democrats believe that all Sanders needs to do is say.....I'm done, orange man bad, vote for Biden..... and his supporters will obey

Except the Ukranian government has already opened an investigation recently into Joe and Hunter.

Not much the DNC can do about that...

Besides, can you imagine the Trump/Biden debates?

Nah... doesn't matter what the DNC does now unless they do a pretty impressive hat trick with a brokered convention.

I'm just not seeing it.

It's definitely possible this could happen. With all the last minute primary drop outs that were obviously orchestrated by the dnc, those voters would pick biden as he is a "moderate democrat" like the drop outs because they are threatened by sanders.

If the scenario you proposed ends up happening it could potentially backfire and not get the dims their desired results, with possible votes going to trump. I've talked with a handful of sanders supporters over the weeks and most said they would vote Trump if sanders doesn't get the nomination, mainly because they completely distrust or feel alienated by the dem establishment.

Gotta love the games the dnc is trying to play. Mediocrity at its finest! (And thats being generous)

This is my theory. . . .

The democrats don't want Bernie because it would be a referendum on socialism.

And they know that they would lose.

So if Biden loses, it'll be because he is old and going senile and they can still push for socialist policies until 2024.

I think the only way the Democrats can vote for a winner is to vote for Trump.

Here my theory...

Trump asks Biden privately, after the nod at the Milwaukee, if Joe wants him to hold off until after the election or should he just be re-elected unopposed?

I disagree about Bernie supporters. I knew a couple that wouldn't endorse Hillary even though Bernie did.

That conspiracy may make me vote for Trump. And I really don't like Trump.

Scandals aside, Biden is the best present the Dems can offer to the Trump Machine. In a sense he is Hillery.2 He could pick Jesus the Christ as his VP and it would still not get him the win in November. He will stand on the stage for debates and Trump will eat him alive. Trump will goad him and Biden will get all discombobulated and start stammering and looking more the fool.

That would be two bad. The United Sates of America, voting between two complete meatheads.

Truthfully Shawn, I pinched my nose and voted for Clinton. If Biden gets the nod I will vote for him in the same manner. That's how much I don't like Trump. HOWEVER, if he were to choose Clinton for VP that would push me off the edge having to vote between not just two meatheads but three.

Here's what I think.

Bernie is a socialist. He wants democracy and social programs so that the poorest don't simply die and so that those at the bottom at least have a chance to get 'on the ladder' and out of their situation.

Right wing propagandists see that as Communism, which is something different as it is entirely anti-capitalist.

These same right wing mouthpieces also decry Bernie for his personal wealth and the fact that he supposedly was paid off. This is despite the wealthiness of the right wing candidate and the fact that a Communist shouldn't be motivated by money. In other words, the propagandists cannot see that their 'reasoning' is entirely contradictory as well as based upon misconception.

As a non-American, it looks to me as if Sanders is a reasonable candidate with policies that favor the majority of US citizens, not just the ones with the biggest incomes.

You do realize that everyone in America has an opportunity to better themselves?

As someone who was once homeless and living on the streets, I can personally attest that the system we currently have works just fine.

As opposed to a Bernie Sanders solution, which will end up being an upper class of political tyrants and the rest of the citizenry equally poor and starving with no way at all to better themselves.

Socialism taking care of the common person is a pipe dream.

Because of human nature.

@TerryMcGuire ...

Honest question, not trying to stir up any mess...

Can you tell me exactly what it is about Donald Trump that you find so detestable?

I ask this question often in online forums and pretty much consistently am answered either with ad hominem attacks against myself, my intelligence and my morality, or with unsubstantiated claims that Donald Trump is corrupt (unsubstantiated because no one has ever presented supporting evidence that he is at least more corrupt that the Clintons), or attacks on his moral character (as though any other politico - particularly the Clintons - were of better moral character), or comments about his hair, his small hands or his orange complexion. Often, a combination of the above.

So, seriously and respectfully, can you try to explain to me?

Myself, knowing what is known about the Clintons, their "foundation," and her disregard for national security and the law, I have a hard time seeing how Donald Trump has proven himself to be worse. If anything, he'd seem to be to me the lesser of the two evils.

So, "Change my mind!" Here's your chance. Lay out a sound, logical argument supported with facts. You may not convince me, but at the least you can help me understand.

No, people in your country still die of preventable illnesses due to not having the right insurance cover or sufficient bank balance.

People, despite their best efforts, sometimes fail repeatedly in their attempts to legally get out of poverty.

People who have viable businesses and do nothing illegal or wrong, get driven out of businesses by the big income criminals who have no limitation upon what they will do to get wealthy.

People are broken financially dealing with temporary illnesses in a system where health care costs more than any country in the world and they never recover.

People who farm and provide essential services get driven out of doing what they do best by whims of nature and fluctuating bank balances.

The system has lots of problems.

Human nature is why people who are financially poor and can barely afford things, still give more to charity (in total) than the richest do.

The current system uplifts the mega rich few while it tramples the very numerous poor and does not give a damn about the vast in-betweens.

Socialism is a necessary counter to ultra-capitalism. It allows for incentive to achieve while it ensures that the poorest can at least survive, and in no way does it prevent a go-getter from being entrepreneurial and 'making it'.

When they had 375 candidates ahead of the first debate it could have been pared down very quickly by asking one honest question:

Which of these people are capable of making a timely and correct course of action in the event the United States was invaded by an occupying force?

Would have had at most three or four candidates left in the field right then and there. Could have had it down to one or two before the primaries even began saving time and money. Might even gave Trump some Republican challengers.
