Here is some positive news , a recent period with no new reported ebola infections .

It is in the report linked that the Ebola virus can lay dormant in body cavities or fluids , can re emerge later after a period of no symptoms and then create a new chain of infections . How lovely .

Even so , let's hope they can deal with coronavirus too , but while it's popping up in new countries everyday , currently probably nearly half the world's 195 or so countries , everyone is going need some luck .

It is only a virus , which www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov..." target="_blank" class="postlink">sarscov2 ncbi 3 days ago

appears to now being named sars . ?

It's humour time some humour please.

Interesting, I'm sure I read somewhere that there were 4 new Ebola cases last week. I cannot recall where thought.

Your link does not work at the moment.

One of the factors which aided the spread Ebola was the fact that in some communities the populations believed that the Ebola threat was invented by local government to allow them to receive aid and 'steal' the aid money for their personal gains. So convincing local populations that the virus was real was an important part of the aid effort.

Coronavirus is now in sub Saharan Africa.

There's always some paranoia mixed with myth and superstition.

What I heard when it was a serious outbreak a lot of people got initial treatment and never returned for the 2nd part of the treatment. Which is supposed to be a boost.

I haven't verified but I heard that corona doesn't like heat at all. Apparently 25-27 °C is enough to kill it. Again unverified.

That does make sense as coronavirus like the common cold tend to be retarded in the summer
