as this is the discussion thread
wondering if we can discuss the Existence stages of the virus and ways to end it at each stage.

Stages I see are
1. Virus exists on non-living surface - metal / cupboard etc
2. Virus exists on living organism -- hands, hair animal etc
3. Virus exists in living organism -- in eyes throat lungs
4 Virus exists attached to Ace2 and is replicating
5 Virus exists and leaving hosts via airways -- breath,cough sneeze etc.

Options
Stage 1
Time - wait long enough it will dry out and cease to exist -- how long is long enough and at what temperature?
----- ----- Can it be regenerated? i.e. gets wet.
Action - Alcohol wipes, disinfection, soap, Carpet cleaning, steaming all floor surfaces, Fogging the entire neighbourhood daily or stepping thru a fogging shower entering a building.

We can't physical and continually wipe the world we touch,can we.

Can we spray liquid or a gas that disrupts, the membrane, the receptors, the RNA the virus's existence without killing us. I don't know, will a Sulfur environment destroy it or hooking a trucks exhaust to a container for a miles sterilize all the boxes of shoes from Northern Italy?


Stage 2 -- Time wait and hope it doesn't enter body
-- Action Foamy Soap for 20 seconds , 70% alcohol wipes, hot water above 25-27c, Bleach

Stage 3 -- Time wait for the immune system to deal with
-- Action High dosages of vit C and D immune system boosters
??? Gargling soap, Nasal Flush with soap, honey, hot toddies ??? or is the no action for this stage?

Stage 4 -- Time wait for the immune system to deal with.
Action administer drugs and help with breathing treat symptoms of reactions to help immune system fight.

Stage 5 -- masks, do salt coated masks work better.
Would using a breathing mask where all exhaled air is vented thru a 70% alcohol stop the spread of new virus?

In your opinions what would be best deployed as the "stay at home, washing hands" will not work forever. OR are we stuck with only the Herd immunity option. if we have enough babies we'll eventually mutate to handle the virus.

FYI not a doctor and not recommending anyone try these things at home.
Just wondering if there are anythings off the wall that may reduce the number of virus particles in the world at large.

So after tonight POTUS presser we have been told they are projecting a 6 figure death toll. That peaks in April. Here is what has me scratching my head. We are being asked to follow the self isolation guidelines til at least the end of April, to lower the curve. What they are not telling us thou, is once this peak gets done and over with, and they let us all back out of our houses and allow us to open buisnesses, unless we have a vaccine or hazmat suits this will happen again. I don’t think we will ultimately eradicate this virus. I suppose they think we can’t handle the truth that at the end of April, unless we have a great plan this can and will happen again. Economically we will be looking back at this great economy we just got ushered out of as great times.

I was wondering last night about placing people in hotels, etc., where I think it would be much harder to decontaminate than a regular hospital, given that they were (are?) still pulling live virus off the Princess. I don't think they even know, with 100 percent certainty, how long they'd have to leave those rooms empty to avoid infecting the next hotel guest. That in itself could create another wave. However, you add that to the odd outlier who still sheds virus at Day 47 (49?), and yeah. This is going to continue to be problem. Maybe we'll get lucky and the thing will just disappear like some pathogens have done in the past.

I think Ohio is starting to develop plans for how to reopen, but they're not sharing much about it. Very much still watching the curve.

Do you ever feel sorry for children and animals who belong to adults/people who are bad or stupid? They're so much at the latter's mercy. It's kinda the same thing now with citizens. You belong to a State who gets it and knocks itself out to protect everyone, or you belong to a State who blew it off and may end up looking like Italy. Pretty sad. And such a roll of the dice.

BTW, that peak of April? For some states, it's projected not to peak until around May 20. Virginia is one of them. I don't see how it won't resurface in other states if it's still peaking in other states that late. And note: this estimate is based on full social distancing. Like that's happening. I am not at all convinced that we develop much immunity to this after having it.

It's kinda the same thing now with citizens. You belong to a State who gets it and knocks itself out to protect everyone, or you belong to a State who blew it off and may end up looking like Italy.

But unlike Italy who locked down with their neighboring countries those states that blew it off will scream blue murder if you try to stop their sick citizens from crossing into a safer state -- Regardless of the cost of their contamination.

You've got a point about the hotels. How would you ever really clean that? You have a lot of soft surfaces like the carpet and furniture for the virus to get comfortable in, unless they completely gut the rooms.

How Many Pandemic's will it take for the changes to their food chain?

Perhaps all the SJW, BLM, Greenpeace and climate changers should turn their anger and reporting infrastructure on a country which is worst than any western country and then and only then will things change. By hitting them in the wallet.
