Not saying that I do or do not agree with this, but it is another point of view on this crisis I ran across on another site. Not a article, just someone's opinion.

Apples and Oranges. Chicago is a s****hole city with rampant gun and gang violence. It will take innocents once in a while, but mostly those are people who are putting themselves in harm's way. This virus, on the other hand, can take anyone. This isn't to say the gun violence there isn't deplorable, but until/unless they start rigorously executing the people who do it, I can't feel too sorry for them. In contrast, I feel very sorry for the people in the rehab/nursing home who died simply trying to recover from surgeries or illness. They weren't out hitting the bars or running turf wars.

Of the confirmed deaths from the Corona virus in the USA many were in a nursing home in Washington

Many of these were on a NO CODE BLUE and had Do Not Resuscitate on their records.“DNR/DNI,”

This means they did not want to be put on a ventilator or intubated.

Some of these would have survived with this care.

I try not to get crazy about tinfoil hat situations but this one just feels so off!!!
Nothing adds up.. response especially!!
I've been wracking my brain to come up with what would this do the best for in what situation...too many odd things to count but the overall response from states and cities is the most troubling for me . And Walmart ? They're going to pay people who are too scared to work ?

If this is not so far harming young children then it can't be a contagious virus.Children's immunity are very vulnerable and a contagious virus is indiscriminate and shows no mercy.
They say the elderly are suffering more due to heart disease,diabetes etc. Name an illness that is that selective?.Even H1n1 affects all children and adults.I had H1N1 (swine flu) in June last year and I was praying.I have a hunch this is a virus that attacks the heart especially and if you have heart issues your more a target.if anyone can name me a virus that only attacks the elderly please let us know.

Contagiusness is not correlated with harmfullness. There are a number of highly contagius viruses that are harmless.

And no childrens immune system is not highly vulnerable. Where did you get that silly idea from? A childs immune system simply has had less exposure to common germs, has not built up resistance to them. But that does not matter for a completely new or uncommon infection.

If it gets into your lungs, it can do massive respiratory damage. That's what typically kills older people.
Young people can also die from lung infections, but more often its from a cytokine storm reaction which causes organs to fail leading to cardiac arrest.
