So here we are in the midst of something described as Coronavirus that apparently originated and surfaced in Wuhan, China. At least that is as written. The Front Porch Logic person will say so whats the big deal and that remains their opinion as of today. Trump seems more concerned about the stock market so he appointed Mr. drop to your knees and pray; VP Mike Pence. Sure that's the ticket! If you are sick or a patient under investigation and not hospitalized, CDC recommends wearing a face mask when around other people and before entering a health care provider’s office, but when you are alone, in your home, you do not need to wear a mask. People who are in close contact with someone with novel coronavirus, for example, household contacts and care givers of people with known or suspected 2019, I’m sorry, nCoV 2019, we should wear a face mask if they are in the same room as the patient and that patient is not able to wear a face mask. Health care personnel should wear PPE including respirators when caring for confirmed or possible nCoV patients because they’re in direct contact with those patients which increases their risk of exposure.

I have been trying to find more info on this as well. Funny that last summer I remember reading the article from cbc one day and when first being aware of covid 19 back in january, I had forgotten all about the story and never even gave a thought to it possibly being connected.

You had a thread earlier about this and Im glad you are bringing it up again. From everything I have tried to find about this, its always the same end result that the RCMP is still investigating and that no further details shall be provided.

I wonder why cbc originally reported it only to never follow up or mention it again.

It certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility that it is all connected.

Investigative journalism is basically dead. "Investigative" pieces are often only written now as fluff reading after all facts in cases have all ready come to light.

It's a huge tangled web of fears of litigation, having no ability to truly verify claims because the internet is a cesspool of misinformation, and liability issues. Whistleblowers are all we really have left, and they're pretty easily scoffed or offed.

We have a machine here at work that dispenses the quality dust masks. N52 or something like that. I went to get one, ant the machine is empty. That's the only items missing. I guess employees got a big idea to take some home, or maybe our supplier is sold out.

I am sick right now and have been for 4 days.
Went to the doctor on the 2nd day and they really didn’t check me for much.
Checked my vitals, listened to my lungs, prescribed me a steroid and antihistamine and sent me on my way.
Had a slight fever when it started and had a cough and headache, fever gone now and it has morphed into a head cold.
I work outside and they are pissed I have not been in since Wednesday, doctor told me no outside work at all until I am over it as it has been very cold here the last few days.
My father in-law lives close by, so I sent my wife to stay there for a few days so she doesn’t catch it.
I don’t know but I am tired of hearing this virus is the end of the world, when the regular flu kills more people every year.

So weird too that Dr Qui' lab director in same Winnepeg was under investigation vut now that he suddenly died, his name's been omitted from most articles onlie about the lab & Chinese/am staff being still under investigation (Frank Plummer).

And people are STILL saying it.
