You took my last post , which I intended to not be part of the topic, and made it part.
I suppose I should have stated that I was going off topic.
My emphasis was intended to show a distinction between what I see and the rest of the thread.

But it was on topic. And the point of my post was to help you see that all closed belief systems create a conspiracy shaped void outside themselves. It's as much what defines the belief system as the belief system itself. It's "self evident" (from within the belief system). It's self perpetuating (from within the belief system). And especially when persecution by conspirators is part of your belief system (as prophesized), you will see conspiracy everywhere as further validation of the belief system and prophecy.

Well that's fine, but I would like you to entertain the following possibility:

You may be wrong.

Just as every "anti-Christian conspiracy theorist" from post-Constantine Rome to Nazi Germany has been wrong before you.

Hiya Jake. Here's a direct answer to your topic. I'll give you two guesses as to the source and the first one doesn't count:

"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember the words I spoke to you: 'No servant is greater than his master'. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the One who sent me."

"...But now they have seen these miracles, and yet they have hated both me and my Father. But this is to fulfill what is written in their Law: 'They hated me without reason."

If you guessed John (15:18 - 21, 24 & 25), you're right

But here's the good news (John 14):

"Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going."

Pray, train, study.
God bless.

You want to know why people bash Christians?
The same reason they crucified Jesus - fear.

This is a blanket statement. The reasons should be broken down
a bit to better understand things.

Sometimes Christians bash other Christians because of fear and ignorance.
Example - Baptists will bash Church of Christ and Catholics because of
what they THINK that church believes, not knowing what that church
really believes.

Fulton Sheen quote - 'not many people hate the Catholic church, but
many people hate what they THINK the Catholic church is.'

Sometimes Christians bash other Christians and non-Christians because
they want to believe that they themselves are special and smarter than
others. Remember kindergarden? There were always those children who
would take delight in bashing others just to try to make themselves look
better.

Othertimes, Christians and non-Christians bash Christians because they
deserve it. People who bash radical militant Christian fundamentalists
do so because they just can't stand the in-your-face fundamentalism.
It has nothing to do with hating God, or being uncomfortable facing the
teachings of Christ. It has to do with the MESSENGER. Lots of times
fundies like to say that people bash them because they are afraid of
the truth (or whatever), but the fact is that people bash them because
they are obnoxious pushing 'the great mandate' to convert everyone.

RANT,

If your going to include that statement as part of the topic then be prepared to discuss satan and God as factual, because they must be considered as such in order to see the broader conspiracy that I' see.
Be prepared to talk of spiritual warfare between demons , people, and God.

As you can see, that has no place in the original topic...which only concerned itself with the visible hate toward christianity that can be viewed here on this board.

I see your point. Christianity certainly is not the worst religion out there. There are lots of worse ones like Islam for example.

Why are so many people soo anti christian?

This is what I see. I see threads about many different subjects. Hundreds of subjects. In politics things get heated. On sports teams things get heated.
But when it comes to christianity....

I see hatred, dripping wet with venom. Why? This is not a 'hate christ' forum. Christianity is not the largest religion, nor does it have the worst human rights record in the media...it has nothing that should put it at the top of your hate list.

1.) Why do so many here feel the need to continually make topics bashing the beliefs of christians....when the topic is clearly not conspiracy related??

2.) Why do people feel the need to bust in on a topic and hijack/change it by attacking a person or their beliefs, posting the christian POV on that topic?
(look at seapeoples post history for an example)

3.) Doesnt the sheer weight of the trend in this forum show you that there is clearly some larger movement , possibly lead by a conspiracy, ...whos goal is anti-christian?

It should be THAT obvious. How can you miss it?

My belief is that the world is coming to what has been prophecied in the Bible. God said that in the last days, Christians would be persecuted in His name sake and even put to death. You can see that its not a conspiracy it is a truth that is unfolding everyday. You can refer to current events such as prayer being taking out of schools, the posting of the Ten Commandents in certain places, the teachings of Christ will become like a cancer and people are going to want to eradicate it. This will be the set up of the NWO, a one world government and religion. Any one who opposes this will die. Chrisitians, we must get ready. This is where our faith will play a major role, either we believe that Jesus will take care of us or we won't. The dark powers that be out there know believe what is said in the Bible and will try everything in their power to reverse the outcome, Christ wins. The only thing they don't get is the power of GOD. We will see in the coming days how we in the West will be persecuted for the love of Christ and trying to live according to His will. It has already started in other coutries such as Africa. Be weary, He approaches from the EAST.

You mean like witches used to be?

The church has done it's own fair share of persecuting [and then some] yet.. even with all the VALID reasons for resentment of the church [eg. mass child abuse] people still cry persecution.

Would you mind if pagen children prayed at school along side the christian ones?

Hey Riley, I am fine with Christian children praying next to pagan children. Jesus prayed with the people who did not follow his beliefs, the Pharisees and hypocrties. Everyone will not follow Christ now, that what makes earning Eternal Salvation on Earth very important. Some of us know the truth now, while others will learn at a later time. I am not here to judge, lest I be judged and by no means am I in the position to judge any one. I am on the way to becoming like Christ and am just a babe, but I know why I will be persecuted in the latter days.

It does virtually no good to challenge any other person's beliefs and pretty much never influences them to change.

So, let's stick to conspiracy theories.

Christians should never be threatened just because someone (like me) can frame a reasonable argument that says that some story from the NT is very ulikely to have happened according to the way it is presented in the NT. The RCC is probably justified in feeling a little threatened when their historical re-writes are exposed and folks began wondering just why they would do that...but, I doubt it. I mean, look at the history that they admit or cannot deny. Why would they care if a handful of historians and archealogists cast serious doubts on some of their stories? They've already gotten away with murder - literally.

I thinks it more of anti religion conspiracy if that is what you want to call it. People aren't just sick of Christianity and it's hypocracies, they are sick of all organized religions and because Christianity is one of the largest and the one that goes around trying to convert and in the same hand deny their fellow human beliefs because of their own, you (christians) are feeling more of the backlash than ever. You can be the biggest and not expect to have the biggest problems.

Dominic, thanks of the concern but what do we have to worry about? Our time will come when it comes, our destiny is set, should we not be more concerned about those who are looking to find their way? Help these people.

The TV media seems to be buying one story and not another.

James Dobson- the comedian who attacks Spongebob- gets a lot of coverage and time on the networks-

The mission of the National Reform Association is to maintain and promote in our national life the Christian principles of civil government, which include, but are not limited to, the following:
Jesus Christ is Lord in all aspects of life, including civil government.
Jesus Christ is, therefore, the Ruler of Nations, and should be explicitly confessed as such in any constitutional documents. The civil ruler is to be a servant of God, he derives his authority from God and he is duty-bound to govern according to the expressed will of God.
The civil government of our nation, its laws, institutions, and practices must therefore be conformed to the principles of Biblical law as revealed in the Old and New Testaments.

Bill Thomson, www.au.org... -the "leftist" foes should be destroyed:
You're going to run over them. Get around them, run over the top of them, destroy them - whatever you need to do so that God's word is the word that is being practiced in Congress, town halls and state legislatures. That's your job.

On Crusades:
Rev. D. James Kennedy,- pastor at the 9,000 member Coral Ridge Presbyterian and founder of the Reclaiming America for Christ movement reaches a viewing and listening audience of about 3.5 million people every Sunday morning. He talks about going beyond the destruction of the Berlin Wall to battering down
"the even more diabolical 'wall of separation' that has led to increasing secularization, godlessness, immorality, and corruption in our country."
"God has called us to engage the enemy in this culture war. That is our challenge today." Kennedy wrote in Character & Destiny: A Nation In Search of Its Soul, (Zondervan Publishing House, 1997). In the same book he states:
"How much more forcefully can I say it? The time has come, and it is long overdue, when Christians and conservatives and all men and women who believe in the birthright of freedom must rise up and reclaim America for Jesus Christ." (written with Jim Nelson Black)

and 50 years of equal rights down the drain?

Colleges such as Patrick Henry College, the first college primarily for evangelical Christian home-schoolers offers a pipeline into conservative politics.
Of the nearly 100 interns working in the White House this semester, 7 are from the roughly 240 students enrolled in the four-year-old Patrick Henry College, in Purcellville. An eighth intern works for the president's re-election campaign. A former Patrick Henry intern now works on the paid staff of the president's top political adviser, Karl Rove. Over the last four years, 22 conservative members of Congress have employed one or more Patrick Henry interns in their offices or on their campaigns, according to the school's records.
The Patrick Henry College Statement of Biblical Worldview explains their philosophy.

These are just a few examples of why I am inimidated by loss of a division between church and state. The mainstreams' media boycotting the Church of Christ commercial is another can of worms-

You have to go out of the way to find christianity on tv.

Look at it from this angle for a second.

IF
God is the creator of mankind and everything fundi's are saying s true...then what do you think he thinks about mainstream tv and media?
OUr abortion laws
Terry shivo
promotion of secularism

Just for a second, (humor me) look at it from that angle, and then compare how much your creator is actually honored by everyone in society compared to what is due.

Hey, I will be the first to say that mainstream media has damaged the true nature of what God wants for His children. Every where you look there is a minister on tv asking for money for his mega church and then you wind up hearing that he has been linked to some scandal. I am from NEw Orleans where religion is big. There is a bishop there who owns three churches and is a multi-millionaire but, his followers are coming to his church on the bus or in beat up old cars giving him their hard earned money because it is fashionable to attend his church. He also appears on national tv. Some where along the way, we have forgotten why we go to church. It is not to go to see our bishop, it is to go receive the pure unadulterated Word of God. This is happening all over the country. I could understand where this would be disturbing to some people when it comes to Christianity. God's plan of redemption have been lost in commercialism, conspiracies, money, power, and scandal. Find a church where God leads you and follow the Word. Study to find yourself approved by God.
