I've got a question about the 20 posts before making threads thing. Are we able to respond to topics outside of the Introduction forum before we get 20 posts? So that limitation is just on creating threads as opposed to replying to them?

That is correct as was mentioned in the Introduction presentation..

You can reply to most all forum areas, just not start your own thread till after the mandatory 20 reply-posts.

ATS Avatars should be no larger than 170 pixels wide by 240 pixels tall, with a maximum file size of 75kb.

i usually open up the pic in paint and re-size it there.

No! I didn't mean my avatar hehe, I meant my profile background picture. It says max is 200 by 700px and mine is 200 by 500px and mine doesn't size right...

No it didn't work. Man I seriously don't know what I am doing wrong...
I'll keep trying to look into it.

If I upload it as an avatar and a profile image, the profile image will show fully. But I don't want an avatar. I just want the profile image.

My avatar is clear and I almost never change it, only the backgrounds get changed, it's easier I think.
Backgrounds can be up to a maximum of 200px wide by 700px long.

with a clear avatar of 170 pixels wide by 240 pixels high.

Using the clear avatar will cause the text in your mini profile to be pushed to the bottom of your profile as it would with an avatar.

Then place whatever avatar/photo you want into the field listed as background. That should solve your problem.

Looks like you need to upload a clear image as your avatar in order to push the text down so you can see the whole pic.

FortAnthem is right. I have an avatar, so that's why the image showed fully. The clear gif he linked you to should do the trick.

Hopefully I'm replying okay, it seems this message board takes a bit to get the hang of! I'm going to see if I can put an avatar that I use elsewhere on here. We'll see if it works!

I am not seeing it appear, but it may be because the file size is too large, even though the image itself is not. I guess don't mind me as I try to figure this out
