None of them can. To be fair, if Trump is such a terrible terrible pres. How can they not seem to put up a single electable contender? Methinks the majority of people disagree with the narrative in spite of the media trying so hard to spin it.

The DNC is ALREADY saying RUSSIA-RUSSIA-RUSSIA is colluding with Bernie to give him the nomination.

While it failed against Trump...they're polishing it off again for Bernie...and adjusting for the mistakes they made in the past.

I'll say one thing for Bernie. His people certainly know how to dream. They don't really work, have no savings or investments, are riddled with anxiety and prone to fantasy violence but they can definitely dream with the best of em'.

It will be interesting to see who they blame when Bernie is driven out of the race and denied the nomination.

As long as the economy holds until November President Trump has this on lockdown. It would take an economic crash on par with 2007/08 to change that IMO.

Dems claiming that this great economy is the result of a very democratic POTUS will be offended that Bernie wants it to crash. The conservatives claiming that this great economy is the result of Trump don't want the economy to crash. Who wants the economy to crash? Even hard core socialists shouldn't want the economy to crash as their money pots won't be able to support any of their free purses. Bernie wants to raise taxes on those earning $29,000/yr, crazy.

Knowing all that, the Dems know there isn't a chance that anyone on their ticket capable of beating the incumbent, Trump. So why waste time and money trying to oust him?

Bernie is the best candidate for Trump to easily overcome in the next election and the mainstream Dems will support Trump over Bernie. Beat Trump at any cost will fall by the wayside when people have their kitchen table talks about how in the world the USA can afford or even survive Bernie.

Many run to build their name recognition to secure their current positions indefinitely, and we can assume Bernie will hold his until he dies. The Clinton's broke the code as to how to get bribes and other payments legally, so all he needs to do is go around and give 20 min speeches at 25k a speech and he will be paid off in no time. The Clinton's went from about nothing to 250 million in 10 years...

What will Bernie do when all the Unions hold their noses and vote for Trump? They are the last people in America willing to give up their Cadillac medical plans?

I often wonder what kind of life people like you have to want this kind of move that Bernie offers. I feel like many just want the game of life reset back to level 1 like a favorite game they like but can't beat because it is unfair and too hard to for them as the games plays out as it stands now with no real care about the 10s of millions that have already invested many decades in the game.

I have a great life. I'm a former New Yorker from Brooklyn and I now live on 30 acres of beautiful countryside in rural middle Tennessee. I'm raising my family and I'm self employed. I pay my taxes and get our insurance through the Affordable Care Act.

I'm a classic liberal who loves freedom and equality and I've been supporting Sanders since the 2016 election.
I'm surrounded by conservatives - and that's ok. People are people and the people around here wear their ideologies on their sleeve and easy to understand - and that's ok.

Capitalism is like a great game of monopoly. Back in the 50's everyone was doing good in the game and had a great time playing it. But then things started to monopolize with the exponential growth of the wealth gathering. So, rules where made over and over again to protect the out of control 'game'. Now, it should be painfully obvious to everyone that the game is almost over, and only 1% 'won'.

So, in comes ideas that have been going around in my head since the 90's. And in comes Bernie Sanders.

He's 100% spot on.
There is no way America can say it is the best country in the world. We have allowed out of control capitalism to destroy or lives.
Ever have a Mexican Coke? Or a Coke from Europe? They have natural sugar and no corn syrup. Why is this important?
Because corn syrup was first introduced in the middle of the last century as a product to make cows fatter.
It wasn't until out of control capitalism allowed money to flow from lobbyists to lawmakers to enact laws that this cheap and dangerous product was introduced into our food supply.
The rest of the civilized world marks corn syrup as dangerous and not allowed. We don't, of course, since using it saves the corporations about 3 cents. And that 3 cents adds up to billions.
And with a hugely misinformed and hugely obese society, going about with the destructive lifestyle that they have been raised from birth - indoctrinated - to believe that it is good, we are good, and we are the best - well the cognitive dissonance is astoundingly obvious to me. Add to this fact is that the unhealthy American lifestyle has fueled the corrupt healthcare industry. The whole thing is a disgusting mess - and we can do better.

That's why I support Sanders.

We need to bring our country back up to a higher level.

We need to raise taxes to pay for Universal Healthcare and Tuition Free Higher Education.
We need to legalize marijuana at the federal level.

Who has a problem with this?

My own feelings haunt me now.

Therefore, i have to apologize for my previous post. Actually, i am surprised that it didn't get deleted due to "political trolling and baiting" My general point still stands, though, but my selection of words could have been way more gentle.

Socialism, as a term, seems to equal to profanity in some Americans minds. It is not that terrifying, and i don't think it would turn you into what the Soviet union was back then. Sanders has good ideas, at least i think so.

With that being said, Trump seems to have done a good job (as a politician, i don't like his personal traits and his teenage-angst style outbursts on twitter but so what?) Looks like American economy is doing fine now. And he actually gets things done. I have said this before and i say it again now: If Great Britain had a leader like Trump, the brexit mess would have been cleared rapidly, without it turning into a prolonged political farce at the expense of democracy and the clear, voted, opinion of the British people.

Someone already posted something like the following but i am good at repeating myself and others: It doesn't really matter who gets the democratic nomination to be a presidential candidate. Trump will win, and i predict a landslide victory. So what this all boils down to, is who the democrats select to lose against Trump.

The thing with Bernie is that in the remote infinitesimal possibility that he wins the nomination and then even more remote wins the presidency, I think he will die in office and we need to pay attention to who is going to be the running mate.

My prediction is that Bernie will have a major health issue (up to and including death/suicide) and will have to leave the race. He just had a heart attack, so it would be easy to believe.
Once hes gone, they bring in their sleeper candidate.

I can see it being medicals related. He is keeping is health records secret to an extent.

What blows my mind is the number of complete idiots who would vote for a communist socialist. His policies would cripple this country. Just his EO alone could do major damage.

Would't put a JFK like assination in the mix as well. Plane crash, sudden heart attack, you get the picture.

Sanders will be 79 years old before the election.

A little strategic stress placed on him or his family behind the scenes and his feeble heart will either take him out or make him abandon. It worked on H.Ross Perot, after all.

Either that, or just bribe the paper tiger socialist wannabe.

The DNC absolutely can't survive with Sanders as the front runner and they know it, so I imagine all the lapdog-press spin and DNC hopes are going to rest with either Biden, or more likely, Bloomberg.

I really feel it makes little to no difference now, as it's too late in the game for them to fake a run to the middle----which is the only damned thing that could salvage what's left of that party of disarray and psychosis.

Anyhow, Trump and the GOP want Sanders to get the nomination because they are astute enough to know that a vocal minority of lily-white frat boys and confused kids don't represent mainstream(or even DNC mainstream) America and Trump will beat Sanders like a cheap mule. I suspect a LOT of life long real democrats would choose Trump over Sanders.
