People call him Mayor Pete.

Because his last name is hard to spell and if you translate it from German means "Butt fiddler" and he's gay so that's not polite.

So just go with Peter.

I go with Buttgig.

But some moderator might shoot that down.

So Bloomberg jokes are cringe worthy... no delivery, no timing they are all WTF type events. He says his NDAs are for telling jokes women did not like. I would have come back and said...Your jokes are so bad that you now need 65 million NDAs. Damn I would make a good dem debater.

BTW is he Reptilian? I was waiting to see his eyes slit up...

Butteg(however you spell the dudes name.)-- Not bad, good talker. Would like to hear more of him.

Good talker, would be a bad President, hides his true agendas to look like a moderate.

Warren-- Darn good performance. She made me think about alot of things in that she basically killed any interest in Bloomberg and Sanders.

I just can't stand to hear her talk...If I had her as a professor I would jab a No. 2 pencil in my eye. She is a stupid Bernie...enough said

Bloomberg-- DOA- not a chance

Yep

Sander-- unrealistic expectations, sorry wont work. At least he is dedicated to his positions

Trump will eat his lunch....

Biden-- Nope, not happening.

I don't think he is even alive anymore...

Klobachar--I think thats her name. Very smart, gave me things to think about it.

She is the only one I see as the lest dangerous if elected...doesn't stand a chance...no charisma...

good catch, I was referring to what Mitt Romney said back in the day, but ya, basically its the middle that decides the election, and that was what I was referring to. Funny enough, I was a bluedog democrat for 10 years, then I switched parties to only vote for obama 2X. not that I liked obama's policies, but I didnt like mccain and romney. I would prefer to Vote for ANYONE that is better than Trump. However the issue the dems have is that NONE of them are better. Trumps policies have helped the economy and at the end of the day, the Dems would just screw us with their policies. I like alot of their ideas, but all of them are unrealistic, can't be implemented.

I think Pete Buttigieg is the better candidate, if he were to pick Tusie Gephart as a running mate he mite stand a chance. Like someone else said Trump will eat their lunch. The rest of the candidates have no chance at all. Warren, Sanders, and Bloomberg are cocktail party joke material.

Pete is too gay. Buttigieg fired off at Trump in the last few day, “I have never sent money to a porn star/ hooker”. The comment brought back visions of Pete giving his boyfriend a big, loving kiss on the mouth. Trump is a street fighter, he will kill this guy.

Something worth pointing out though is the support Sanders has among the largest voting bloc, the 18-35 year olds. He polls higher among them than pretty much all other candidates combined. Now this is a bloc that is notorious for not voting, but if Sanders could get them to vote like Obama did, no one would be able to beat him. Which is probably why the DNC isn't pushing Rock the Vote as hard as they normally do.

Another thing with pointing out is the fact that Sanders also polls higher with independents than any other candidate, including Trump. So it might be easy for you guys to discount Sanders but he has the support and the numbers. He just needs to convince people to vote, which is something I've seen his volunteers focusing on.

yea, I'm not saying he is unelectable. on the contrary I think he can give trump a run for his money. The reality though is that all the policies of the left combined creates self defeat.

One Example:

Lets raise minimum wage to $15.

If you're considering voting for any of the Democrats running, you're not a moderate anything, let alone a moderate republican.

OK, so I am a moderate Republican,

-snip-

As a moderate republican, I think Pete B is the strongest candidate in the democratic party. I would consider voting for him if he can moderate further.

You're an R, whi would consider voting for Buttigeg over Trump?

Hint: you're not an R.

Final statement. 49% of people are democrats and will vote for demcrat.

Used to be true - but post-2016-Trump? No way, no how.

Fyi, Trump got more than a few democrat votes in 2016, even as an unknown quantity. I assure you he will be getting a lot more democrat votes in 2020, after establishing his track record of making good on campaign promises (a first for almost any President in modern history), and making things better for all Americans, especially the middle and lower income brackets.

Pure fantasyland.

The reality is, there is no more than 3-5% of the population that would vote for a Socialist/Communist for President, and when Trump gets done wiping the floor with any of these Socialists/Communists in the first debate, they simply won't stand a chance in the general election.

Trump will win in a landslide - both electoral and popular vote - in November, and the House too. The next 4-5 years are going to be a lot more fun than the last 3-4, that's for sure.

I am open to voting for the best person. All I am saying is that only ones that stand a chance against trump that I saw was Mayor Pete, Sanders, and Warren. All the rest are none starters. With that said, Sanders policies are self defeating so I wouldn't vote for him. Warren's green initiative sucks is she is out, and Pete, while an excellent talker, and I would be interested in hearing more, I haven't made a decision on yet.

Keep in mind. I am not a Conservative, Radical, or Evangelical Republican. I was a democrat from 18-30. Its only the last 10 years I went republican. This has less to do with what the ideals of the republicans hold, and more to do with the fact that the Democrats have swung so far left, that I am closer to the republicans then the dems. I have always stayed the same in my beliefs. The dems have moved so far left, I can't identify with them. Heck even the Republicans have moved left too to an extent.

I consider myself a Bluedog democrat. Basically a conservative democrat. I am for gun rights, for death penalty, for border protection.

However I am also for $15 minimum wage, a fix to medical, a fix for college. Keep in mind, giving 15 an hour also means you need to lock down your borders, and impose tariffs. Additionally, fixing college and medical requires that, and some form of social moderation on profit taking in those industries. Not saying I like the current plans out there, but I do believe we need a better socialized safety net. Even if all the current plans suck.
