Does it take into account the loss of medical decisions citizens will be able to make? Like the who, what, and when? Govt says you don't need back surgery. Govt says you are not eligible for kidney replacement because of your age/health. Govt says it's a 6 month wait to see a specialist, if you even get approved at all.

replace the word "govt" with "insurance" and youre in the exact same boat you were in before.

Why not. People listen to an obese college dropout journalist / film maker in Michael Moore on a wide range of topics and elected a bar tender on how to create the perfect planetary ecosystem.

dont forget sean hannity, glenn beck, and rush limbaugh. all college dropouts.

Because of my work, I spend $50 dollars a month on healthcare for my family of five. Show me in any projections how they will be able to cut my costs in their model.

Remember, you do not have all the information, but you will choose talking points over reality.

$50 a month? no deductible? no surprise bills? how the f did you swing that?!

if everyone had that, no one would complain about a thing!

$20 deductible. So far no surprise bills. In the years I have had the plan, I have been to the doctor one time. My wife has had 3 children and they all have regular appointments.
Union job for a public University.

ETA- Perhaps if the conversation shifted to why unions are not a bad thing (I do have some issues with unions), healthcare can get sorted out without becoming a public option.
edit on 19-2-2020 by randomtangentsrme because: Stated above.

dude i'm right there with you on unions. they are the only protection you have against the corps.

yes, there are some flaws with unions, but overall i would say they are a good thing.
