One would almost think that Trump supporters and Bernie Bros have something in common. Both groups want to gut the current, corrupt system; to drain the swamp as it were. We just have very different ideas about what kind of system we want after the carnage is done.

Alas, there’s the rub. What Bernie Bros want comes with widespread shortages, massive unemployment, a crippling loss in innovation and a 60 trillion-dollar price tag.

So, while there is some superficial similarity, Bernie Bros still need to go screw themselves.

Just saying.

The only damned similarity I have to a communist asshole is that we’re both carbon-based.

In my humble opinion.

Incorrect. Bernie supporters want to completely dismantle the most successful, egalitarian, economically viable and free society the world has ever seen to instill their vision of a socialist utopia on earth.

They just want to watch the world burn in the name of their flawed ideology. That can be the only reasoning as there are numerous examples of socialism creating the opposite of a utopia.

Supporters of this ideology show their narcissism in thinking their version will work, this time.

They need to be resisted at every opportunity.

I did say the similarity is superficial.

the only bernie supporter I've ever known well was a leech of a human- she gets pregnant by hard working dumb men, then takes them to court after living with them for a few years to extort as much as she can from their homes and bank accounts before claiming abuse and shooting for full custody- with healthy child support, of course. hasn't worked in twenty years.
she would love to see bernie elected- then she didn't have to get knocked up for her free ride.

I was being generous on both being carbon-based.

You do have a great point.

Both Trump and Bernie are disrupters.

They won't come in, keep the system the same and just add to it a little here, a little there.

They challenge the system and because of that are enemies of the established bureaucracy.

Which is why the establishment Republicans hate Trump but now have to ride on his coat-tails to keep in office.

Which is why the Democratic party are currently crapping their pants because Bernie has a strong chance of winning the nomination.

THAT I am pretty sure is what you meant by your OP and you are entirely correct.

That being said, Trump is shaking things up for the betterment of American citizens and Bernie will crater our country.

S&F...

Bernie's ideas don't come with any shortages, or unemployment, or loss of innovation. Nor is there a 60 trillion-dollar price tag. You are just repeating the propaganda.

The entire US political system will stay much the same, no matter which side wins. It just will.

Okay, if Bernie Inc wants to drain the swamp so to speak. And later it effects his policies. Does that mean that Bernie would renege upon his policy promises. I propose this is a desperate vote scam'

My thoughts from abroad.

Sounds like something a 'Bernie - bro' would say... in reverse...

Trump is hardly doing anything.

There is an impending credit crisis and he's just offering more money that isn't offset by assets or industry. So where is it all coming from?

The line is drawn at Maseratis. Trump supports want the Maserati dealership to flourish and want those making and selling them to earn as much as possible.

Bernie Bros want that to end. They want all electric Prius style cars and everyone making, selling and buying them earning a "living wage". Anyone earning more must be prosecuted and hanged in the public square.

I don't even like Maserati. I want a Lotus but Bernie Bros hate that as well. They hate me for just wanting something exotic that is beyond their living wage mentality. Screw that. I spent a lifetime working hard, saving, investing so I get beyond the living wage BS.

Do you fit in a Lotus? They are seriously tiny.

What I am looking forward to is watching the Bernie supporter's responses when he gets 50% of the delegates for the Democratic primary, loses the first delegate vote because of that and the second round of voting now includes Super-delegates... a lot of them in their current position because Bloomberg spent a billion $$$ in 2018 getting them there.

THEN there will be back-room dealing, a lot of money will change hands and Bernie will now be worth 999 million dollars (NOT A BILLIONAIRE because that is evil!!!) and he will tell his supporters that the best thing they can do to get rid of Trump is to vote for his new bestie... the billionaire old white rich guy Bloomberg.

It's gonna be epic.

There are some similarities. Both Trump and Sanders want to destroy the wheel that is "Business as usual in DC". I can get behind that. Not every idea of Sanders is wrong, just often not feasible. Most Sanders supporters I have met haven't been that bad, compared to the rest of the Dem field. Maybe I've been lucky.

Trump's America First message is where they diverge. Bernie's Socialist roots come out in regards to his foreign policy and immigration policy and that will be what does him if he gets to the General election vs Trump. Nobody is going to go untested Socialist ideas when the economy is Humming. Times aren't desperate economically.

Unfortunately for Sanders, he is too old now. Just being honest. Hillary stole his chance.

I see that. Hence my question but you have given an explanation.

Kinda win at all costs methinks.
