So naturally many are focused on politics in this presidential election year. If the impeding doom represented by covid-19 materializes in the worst possible way, (let's hope it doesn't), how would a national election work in that circumstance? Is the Nation really going to physically amass at the polls? What contingencies are there or could even be implemented given the decentralized nature of our election authorities?

Any guesses who might be thinking about this?

Food for thought.

I don't think it would effect outcomes much, but it's an interesting thought if something would be done due to voting outcomes being impeded. We've already seen how voting apps are complete BS... I see it more like a leverage thing than an actual problem.

Some political strategies might include some propaganda about covid-19 and a crashing economy !!! 😎 🎯

Ah. Corona virus. I doubt anything about voting would change because of that.

Carona virus =no effect

Trump wins and takes house back, increases lead in senate
Trump appoints 3 more SCJ’s

IF the virus was in full swing in November and cities were quarantined wouldn't the election have to be postponed?
More doom porn!

I will bet real money that in Florida one problematic county will lock its doors again and keep them closed until they "discover" enough ballots to win the district. Just like they did in 2016. And 2012. And 2008...

It will look very much like the 2004 tsunami in Indonesia

Except the wave most definitely won’t be ‘blue’

There most certainly would be travel and public gathering restrictions, so the allure of app voting would be strong. But not every jurisdiction would go that route.

I'm guessing a mix of mail-in votes like absentee ballots and other approaches.

In short, this election cycle will most likely be a # show, beyond the political reasons we're all talking about now.

2020 will be a year for the books, I predict.

More entertainment for some.

The downward spiral doth ensues.

New records, new record lows for a first world society, more banana republic affairs.

It will look exactly like Roy Cohn wanted it to look like, I'm afraid.

Exactly like a peanutbutter and butter sandwich..... no ? or one of those pink things that scream at the sky....no, like a runaway store bought helium balloon...or maybe like four flat tires on the blue car. But beyond November it will look like Victory for MAGA.!

Like the fall of the Democratic party. Like roadkill. Like .......you tell me..

It has a lethality of about 2 to 3% , yes much higher than the typical flu, but the flu killed like 60,000 last year in America. What would make that bad is if it mutated to a much higher death percentage AND went full airborne....

Not unlike H5N1? Which, by the way, is also now breaking out AGAIN in the same area around Wuhan in China.

But, you are not hearing much about that one...........................yet.

I'll say it again:

Buckle up folks, it's about to get very bumpy.

I bet Russia hacks the election again and Trump wins by a landslide.

This will trigger a recount and another four year impeachment attempt which will dominate the media for another four years...
