I said a week ago 1-2M infected. 250k dead from virus/complications, another 100k from CCP “intervention and protocols”..... I asked everyone on the previous thread if they thought I was honestly out of line, or disagreed.

Not 1. Nobody did. I don’t claim to be right and that guesstimate was at an upper end of #s in my mind.

Now. I’d like the links to my contrary guess from you or anyone, stating this is bullocks or “wishful thinking” as you and others have claimed. All we have is what we’ve been told, which I think 95% of us take as hogwash, complete BS. For the record what’s happened/happening in China is awful and tragic, and I wish this wasn’t even a third thread.

Yet here we are. Waiting and watching and coming together in the face of something that looks a bit more worrisome and concerning than current flu #s. And those are bad as is.

Personally I’m more concerned about the breakdown of society and “civility” in 2020 if this thing is 1/8 Cot. Tripps. I don’t understand how we aren’t more humane in the modern era. But I guess we’re only human.

Many experts - and by experts, I mean top virologists and epidemiologists in several countries and universities, have expressed a high degree of concern for this virus. They are not worried about the now, which is what some people seem to be focused on.. They are worried about the ability to spread this fairly unpredictable virus asymptotically, as it has a fairly virulent. While a 2% fatality rate may seem low (and it may even be 1%), that is still magnitudes greater than your normal flu.

Also they are looking at the number of critical and serious cases. Those use up ICU beds. Most hospitals even in major cities in the U.S. are low on those without having something like this come along. The recovery rate is still very low - which means a very long recovery process. And many victims of this virus have seemed stable, and then very quickly deteriorated.

Some of you seem to be looking at this month.. maybe next. You need to be looking literally months from now, even a year from now. Because that is when we'll see the real toll of this virus. And even a 1% fatality rate of 30% infection chance would be tens of millions dead. Stop comparing it to a season of influenza, which kills around 300 to 650k people a year. This could be magnitudes worse.

That is why experts are worried. That is why many people are concerned. Saying "OMG you are all FrEAk1NG for no reason omg!!" does not help. There are quite a few links to EXPERTS who are worried. Here is one.. start there.

So... you feel you know more than this guy? Well.. you are entitled to your opinion, but people in this thread (and on other sites) for the most part are not panicking, or coming up with ridiculous theories - they are listening to experts, and thus the worry. Spamming all caps ridicule at people is not warranted. Perhaps educate yourself before you harass others for trying to be informed.

I think the first official recognition was on Jan 1st. So this is after... but still, a very early lockdown after the first reports were coming out. But maybe as soon as they heard, they did this as a precaution?

Informed speculation on my part. CCP military is connected to everything in China. Quite possible their lab was used to do some testing after it was discovered.

WHAT is going on in China?

Population (approx.) Per wikipedia 1.427 billion (1,427,647,786).
If the average China man or woman lives to the average age of 75 years old (my guess), then that means they would live on average (75*365.25) 27,393.75 days. Taking the population divided by living days (1427647786/27393 truncating the .75) on average there should be 52,117 births and DEATHS each day.

What is GOING on in China?

If half the population is employed (again just a guess on my part), the 1.427 billion times .5 equals 713,500,000 individuals employed. If we were to take that number and say that 2 percent of the employees on average, call out sick each day, then 713.5 * (.02) equals 14,270,000 employees calling out sick each day. 2 percent of 250 days (calculating 50 weeks at 5 days of work each week) it would be 5 days a year an employee would call out sick.

What is going on in CHINA?

Per the numbers provided by BNONEWS, Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau, which I will call SAR) the death rate for the COVID-19 is 1,523/66,492 or 2.29%.

Per the numbers provided by BNONEWS, the rest of the world (including SAR) the death rate for COVID-19 is 3/ (524+84) or 0.49%. Excluding the SAR then the death rate is 2/524 or 0.38%.

What IS going on in China?

If these numbers are relatively correct (a lot of speculation on my behalf), then China quarantined and lock downed numerous cities/Provinces because around 70 out of 52,000 deaths each day were COVID-19 related.

What is going ON in China?
In a country where 14,270,000 individuals call out sick a day, an additional 75,431 employees (66,492 confirmed plus 8969 suspected ill, per BNONEWS) was so devastating, they needed to close almost if not all of their factories for an additional two weeks (?)
All of these numbers are being quoted from BRONEWS that are posted for today, and it was last week, before the numbers were even this high, that China closed their factories, and started to quarantine and locked down their communities.

WHAT IS GOING ON IN CHINA?

Personally, I agree others who feel China is not providing the true numbers.

And since this is a conspiracy site - (Conspiracy Thought On) Anyone notice that 98% of the confirmed deaths, just happen to have been those who are opposed to the official ruling party. When the state can take and interpret the tests and say one has it, even though they show no signs (asymptomatic). So for the good of the country they now will take that person into quarantine, never to be seen again. I know, I am well over the top with that number, but think about it, a dictatorship type country under the guise of a new strain of flu, use it to close all cities, and remove any who openly opposes their philosophy. No wonder the rest of the world is not seeing the same type of numbers, at least not yet (Conspiracy Thought Off).

Thank you! So this shows how seriously the US government is taking the virus, regardless of all the ‘it has the same fatality rate as the flu’ some experts/media are telling us.
