Seems like the new advise from Public Health England are now asking those who could be at risk should self-isolate for 14 days and keep a eye out for changes in their symptoms rather being taken to an isolation unit for suspected infections.
I suppose this could be to ensure NHS services are not stretched. I think it's wise thing but with more suspected cases in a group of over a hundred I'm starting to think would anyone really heed the advice to isolate themselves or just go about their day potentially infecting others should they be asymptomatically carrying it around.
The spread in the UK would at this point would not be contained if not already.

Kinda hard to mess it up to be honest ( don’t get me wrong I know people make more mistakes when tired / exhausted etc ) but it’s a critical test and of like life saving importance , tbh it’s just not something you make mistakes with, collecting the swab sample you generally know if you’ve done it right the person will urge like there gonna throw up when you swab the back of the nasal cavity ( if they don’t you didn’t do it right or far enough!), but if your that tired as a first care person you know to ask another nurse to do something for you, not make mistakes and hide it!)
'It's Coming': CDC Director Warns Coronavirus To Become Widespread Throughout United States, 'Probably Beyond 2020'
The extremely virulent coronavirus which is sweeping through China's Hubei province like wildfire will eventually gain a foothold in the United States - becoming a 'community virus' this year or next, according to CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield.
“There’s likely to be a period of widespread transmission in the U.S., and I hope we will avert the kind of chaos that some other places are seeing.”
It has spread to other places where it's the beginning of the outbreak," Dale Fisher, head of the Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network, co-ordinated by the WHO, said in an interview from Singapore.
“It is not a matter of if—it is a matter of when,” said Amesh Adalja, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Health Security and a spokesman for the Infectious Diseases Society of America. “There is not a doubt this is going to end up in most countries eventually.”
“You can’t board up a germ. A novel infection will spread,” said Lawrence O. Gostin, a law professor at Georgetown University and director of the World Health Organization Collaborating Center on National and Global Health Law. “It will get out; it always does.”

Tbh I disagree,( sorry) I don’t think where this happened is of any importance , it only serves to further divide us as the Hunan race from each other , anything else plays directly into that whole communist / capitalist blame game and that’s not even close to what it’s about, tbh it’s about saving people’s lives and preventing suffering , where you come from, what you believe or anything else does not matter!, until people realise that “small”(petty) things like that will always divide us and allow that to be used against us.

It is interesting the flow of this thread from this morning to tonight. Some seem to suggest (wishful think) this virus isnt so bad or is over hyped. Of course no facts are given other then China and other countries reporting as to this opinion.
Based on all the facts I think the numbers in China are massively understated. I think my country, the US is hiding real numbers as not to cause panic simply cause its not as deadly as Ebola. (supposedly not as deadly as we really dont know yet)
In the state of Florida where I reside the govt isnt posting anything about possible infected or those being tested. They say its cause of Hippa laws but they had no problem telling us about the Zika virus a little while back.
To many clues tell me this is going to hit the world hard and judging by some post in the last 12 hours the disinformation campaign is working... for some!
