China 'appoints military bio weapon expert to take over secretive virus lab in Wuhan', sparking conspiracy theories that coronavirus outbreak is linked to Beijing's army
Chen Wei, a Major General of the People's Liberation Army, was flown in to Wuhan by the central government late last month before officially taking the helm of Wuhan Institute of Virology, according to a report. The 54-year-old's designation prompted some people to speculate that the epidemic could have been spawned in the little-known lab and that the lab is run by Beijing's military.
Chen, also a leading specialist in genetic engineering vaccines in China, developed a medical spray during the SARS outbreak in 2003. The product prevented around 14,000 medical workers from contracting the virus, said another state-media report. She is also known in the country as the 'terminator of Ebola' for leading a team to create a vaccine against the fatal virus. Speaking of fighting the novel coronavirus, Chen said: 'The epidemic is like a military situation. The epicentre equals to the battlefield.'

Will a microwave kill the virus? Those masks shouldn't have any metal in them but I don't know if they would even heat up. I mean a paper plate doesn't get hot so those might not either. But maybe it would still kill living organisms?
Just a random shower thought.
Chinese doctors say Wuhan coronavirus reinfection even deadlier Instead of creating immunity the virus can reportedly reinfect an individual and hasten fatal heart attack
The claim is made by doctors working in the Hubei Province capital that is at the center of the epidemic, which has to date infected 64,201 people and killed 1,487. One of the doctors reached out to a relative living in the United Kingdom, who then informed Taiwan News.
According to the message forwarded to Taiwan News, “It’s highly possible to get infected a second time. A few people recovered from the first time by their own immune system, but the meds they use are damaging their heart tissue, and when they get it the second time, the antibody doesn’t help but makes it worse, and they die a sudden death from heart failure.” The source also said the virus has “outsmarted all of us,” as it can hide symptoms for up to 24 days.

Health officials have contacted hundreds of people who attended a conference in London, after it emerged someone subsequently diagnosed with coronavirus had been there.
The person, who has not been identified, was at the UK Bus Summit at the QEII Conference Centre last week.
Dr Yimmy Chow from Public Health England said the delegates had been informed as a precaution.

Couldn't find an answer to your question, but I would guess the military hasn't prepped for a pandemic since the Spanish flu.
Did find some declassified documents for the DOD pandemic plan.

eBay removes T-shirts with coronavirus slogans including 'Wuhan city tours' but they are still available on Amazon
One £15.45 shirt on eBay said: 'I survived the Coronavirus and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.' Others on the auction site mocked the city in China at the epicentre of the outbreak with one emblazoned with 'Wuhan City Tours' and another saying: 'Just arrived from Wuhan.

I was going to buy a couple of half-face masks. But considering sterilizing after each use, I'm reconsidering the purchase. Also, this brings to mind showering and washing clothes after being out... Disinfecting the shower and washing machine after use. Am I getting carried away?
Decontamination before entering the home is definitely worth considering. Having a plan in place avoids mistakes, disorder or panic later. What levels you go to really depends on how bad it is and how exposed you are. At this stage it could be less severe than flu, or it could kill a sizeable part of the population. Currently it could be argued that simply washing your hands is appropriate.
The other end of the scale would be very carefully stripping outside, washing in dilute bleach, then treating all your gear in a similar fashion before bring it inside. Though at that end of the scale, you would avoid all contact and ideally be going into quarantine area at home for a number of weeks before being allowed in the house proper... Extreme.
Proper half face respirators can be used much longer than disposables. The filters themselves say 6 months with 5 year shelf life. There will be a safety margin here too so could be longer. The mask itself though should be disinfected every time and the filter handled carefully since it is infected.
Besides the virus though, economic collapse could be equally devastating, so considering some preparation is sensible, regardless of the virus

Anyway an update of possible case at Heathrow. England.
Passenger with suspected coronavirus lands at Heathrow
news.sky.com...
A passenger with suspected coronavirus was on board a flight from San Francisco which landed at Heathrow this morning. Other passengers on United Airlines Flight 901 have told Sky News the captain told them to stay in their seats after landing because someone had been "taken ill".
he passenger was taken to the back of the plane but Mr West said the cabin crew were not wearing any protective clothing, including face masks. He said everyone was told to fill in a Health England contact form and then after 20-25 minutes they were allowed to disembark.
So, if this is nother case, all passengers on that plane will have to self-isolate but fist they have to get home and tha means using transport!
