That was my prediction going by what I am seeing
and hearing.I don't want another war and would
rather be baking cookies instead.

Don't hide behind your cookies.
We've heard that "prediction" from enough people on the right to know it's more than just some innocent observation.

A civil war between the left and the right in America would be a very intense, and possibly entertaining 15-20 minutes.

Indeed. I'll crack a beer, turn on CNN, and watch all the YeeHawdis try to overthrow the government.
As I recall, the last civil war didn't go so well for them. But in all fairness, they probably weren't paying attention in history class, just like their orange leader.

It won't be the right trying to overthrow the government.

That's what the left is trying to do right now... or at least they're trying to take away the voice of the people.

We elected Trump... they STILL can't accept it. And I can't wait to see the left going insane in November when Trump wins in a landslide.

I will type very slowly so you and others can understand...
SOCIALISM/COMMUNISM DOESN'T BELONG IN THE U.S.A.!

Neither does FASCISM, but somehow you people voted for it...

Please explain, in detail, how Trump is a fascist. I simply do not see it. If he was a fascist, you'd be in a re-education camp by now.

fascism[ fash-iz-uh m ]
noun
(sometimes initial capital letter) a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism and often racism.
(sometimes initial capital letter) the philosophy, principles, or methods of fascism.
(initial capital letter) a political movement that employs the principles and methods of fascism, especially the one established by Mussolini in Italy 1922–43.

Definition of Fascism on Dictionary.com

I guess you like throwing out words like this because, in your head, it makes you seem smart.

Sorry, but it's having the opposite effect

Personally I am not worried about a civil war breaking out between the left and the right in this country.

One side has over 300,000,000 firearms and over 1,000,000,000,000 rounds of ammunition...

The other side needs safe spaces to protect them from opinions they don't agree with. And they have no clue which bathroom to use.

A civil war between the left and the right in America would be a very intense, and possibly entertaining 15-20 minutes.

Sorry, but the military active duty donations that sanders got, surpassing all other candidates, including trump, tends to put the lie to your statement.

Sure... keep telling yourself that.

Too bad for you Bernie will NEVER be President. Trump has accomplished more in the last 3 years than Bernie accomplished in over 30 years in DC. Sanders is a loser. Just like everyone who supports him.

The Russians got trump elected not the voices of americans.
And he is still cheating.
No chance of winning otherwise which he is well aware of.
And N.Y. is waiting for him to not be president.

Could you old people, who still seem to suffer from the Cold War being waged inside their heads, explain to us SJW's how and why "affordable healthcare" would be communist but the Swiss is not?

Do you even listen to yourself whilst twisting your pants?

If it were solely about affordable healthcare, I don't think there's be as much opposition to the Democratic Socialist platform.

But it goes much deeper than that because Healthcare is just one of the issues presented by Socialists.

You act as if Sanders platform was just about healthcare and leave your argument there and ignore other issues that the platform would push should it get into power.

There are other issues that people have with Socialism that worries them and forces them to resist it.

The possibility of open boarders, strict gun control (as was the case in Venezuela when the Democratic Socialist government took control), the removal of the US amendments and possibly the constitution its self.

Now, non of those things are a foregone conclusion, but they are possible and that is what people are afraid of and why there is such resistance to the idea (and rightfully so). There is literally nothing you can say to change people minds about it, because you cannot guarantee those fears are fruitless.

It's better to be safe than sorry, so no Socialism in any form for the US I'm afraid...

New York City mayor Bill de Blasio endorses Bernie Sanders, over former mayor Michael Bloomberg.

New York — New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is endorsing Bernie Sanders for president, a move that puts de Blasio in a position to become a leading voice in opposition to Sanders' newest rival, Mike Bloomberg, his predecessor in leading the nation's largest city.

De Blasio, an unabashed liberal who was elected in 2013, will campaign for Sanders in Nevada this weekend, the Sanders campaign said Friday in a news release. De Blasio hopes to be a significant surrogate for Sanders four years after he dithered about his presidential endorsement and, late in the primary process, backed Hillary Clinton instead of the Vermont senator, who shared far more of his ideology.

Yeah, who would want free healthcare, the rich paying taxes or social safety nets! Those are un-american!

Just so you know. Watchin' ya.

There's no such thing as "free" anything.

How failed is our education system that their are apparently millions that don't get that?

Here’s the problem. Everyone knows it’s not free. People are willing to pay more taxes in exchange for education and healthcare. Why is this so hard for you to get? As sanders said, “we already have socialism. That’s the tax breaks and the subsidies that trump personally enjoys. We just think socialism should benefit the working class and poor, rather than the wealthy elite”. It’s not about “free stuff”. It’s about who gets to benefit from the taxes we pay.

Bravo. F'ing bravo.

Good luck writing against the alt-right echo chamber that ATS has, sadly, become over the last four years.

You speak truth and wisdom, my friend. Keep on keeping on...

No, they are not. The "left" (whomever you consider them to be) is not trying to overthrow the government. They are simply trying to regain their footing in a pretend ideological battle. Your comments are ill and misinformed, and show your ignorance. MY GUY IS GONNA WIN CAUSE YOU'RE A LIBTARD!!! (slurps beer and passes out on his couch).

It really doesn't matter, though...right wing, left wing, same bird.

"We" didn't elect Trump; he didn't even win the popular vote. The outdated system of the electoral college elected him. That system made sense when there were thirteen colonies, but it makes absolutely no sense now. Thanks, Hamilton...there's a great musical about you now, but the system you helped put in place no longer works.

No.. they're trying to take away the voice of the people.

Trump won the election, and the left started talking about impeachment before Trump took office. They are trying to remove a duly elected official for no other reason than they can't accept the fact that they lost.

As long as they find a legal way, it is all kosher.
