The overall trend is power being centralized in the federal government.

Personally, no one is going to convince me giving up state weight in elections is a good thing. I also don't think anyone will convince me that true populism is a good thing. Populism has already shown they want a lot out of the federal government... I don't. I want as little as possible. Maybe that's selfish, but that's why the nation was founded, to break up the power of government and give it to people and communities over an entity that lives far away and knows nothing of their lives or area.

Nothing so sinister.

As is all too often the case, they fall in love with themselves and think that all wisdom flows from them, to us. Rather than from us, to them as our employees.

Of course, we forget that, too.

I would be pretty worried bout this bill actually.

He states that this is just "the first step" in getting these guns off the streets.

So while he also says that people who already have them can keep them, that could only be a temporary thing to get the bill through. You can logically see their full agenda in the wording of their closing argument.

Once they pass this stage and supplies are cut off, they seem fully intent (although not saying it directly), to come for the rest at a later date.

If I were a citizen of this region, I'd keep fighting this because this is a bait and switch bill for sure..!!

Jeez AR-15's are not assault rifles. Assault rifles have a switch for full auto, 3 shot burst and semi-automatic. AR-15's are semi-auto only there for not an assault rifle. And if a tyrannical government like Northrup's gets to entrenched then fighting back with bolt actions is not an option. Semi-auto is needed to prevent tyranny and more than 10 round clips. See the communists want us at a disadvantage. These Democrats and the UN globalists can take their plans and shove them where the sun don't shine.

I don't care if 99% votes for it, a vote doesn't supercede the BOR and the answer is "no period"

Is this really worth a civil war to them?

They realize they cant win within the system, so they want to go outside of it. They want us at as much of a disadvantage as possible. Not happening not one more inch.

Americans must draw a hard line in the Sand, and be ready to fight of they cross it.

We're not becoming a socialist/communist country.

As a Citizen, I'm willing to die for my rights. Every last one of them. Are they willing to die trying to infringe upon them?

Why do people feel the need to have assault rifles anyway? Im in the UK and it seems crazy that people are armed to the teeth when in all likelihood its just never going to be required.

A hand gun I understand but an automatic rifle??

I don't understand how you can let immigrants throw acid in the face of your daughters and still talk trash about what we do, no one asked you or your pedophile prince what you think about the country that kicked your tyrannical ass out with assault weapons.

To defeat a state or federal government if it becomes tyrannical and ignores our enumerated rights. To defend ourselves from violent mobs, criminals, junkies, etc.

Isn't that obvious?

Our rights aren't up for discussion, and we retain such firearms in case someone ever decides to attempt to legislate, vote or force them away.

US citizens have more firearms than every World military combined. We hold the power and we intend to keep it that way.

What *possible* reason could anyone come up with for us to give that up? None, because there is nothing that would ever be worth the trade-off

As a SUBJECT I can see why thats a tough concept for some to grasp. As a CITIZEN the thought of a government monopoly on violence is simply unthinkable and ludicrous. We've all seen how incompetent the government is at protecting individuals and individual rights.

Only you are best positioned to shoot down the mask clad mob busting down your door at 3AM to relieve you of your property, rape our families and maybe leave us alive if they're feeling generous. As a retired LEO, I say this with absolute sincerity: "when seconds count, police are only minutes away"

well the majority of what you call assault rifles are not that. only a select few have access to fully automatic ASSAULT RIFLES. Those are fully automatic as in just hold the trigger down. civies have ones that require single pull each round.

Sticks, especially sticks with pointy ends, are assault sticks and should also be banned.

Trees are the leading cause of assault sticks therefor I propose cutting down all the trees.

Just to be safe.

And don't forget those assault pressure cookers.

They don't have assault rifles.

The left is just calling them Assault Rifles because they look like an Assault rifle.

The AR-15 is a Semi-Auto Sports/light hunting rifle. It does not have the ability to switch between Auto/Semi-Auto like a real Assault Rifle.

Take for instance the Ruger Mini 14, which look like a regular light hunting rifle. It's doesn't look scary at all, yet has the same magazine capacity, same ammunition and fires exactly like an AR-15.

Trying to ban a gun just on the grounds that it looks like a military rifle, while allowing others with the exact capabilities to remain legal is just retarded and a waste of time.

As for the need for these weapons..

Little known fact..

Prior to Pearl harbor, the Japanese were toying with the idea to make a direct attack and invasion on the US its self. The reason they ditched that idea was because of what one Japanese General said....

"If we invade the United States, we will be fighting every citizen and there would be a gun hiding behind every blade of grass"...!!

An armed nation simply does not get invaded..!!

An armed population prevents domestic tyranny..!!

Not a good argument; their plan is to register them ALL.

Then ban them ALL
