I came across this YT channel a few weeks ago and I am hooked. Jerry, the host, sits and films Big Jets landing at various Airports.
I have lost hours watching this channel.
Today Jerry is at London Heathrow filming live during storm Ciara, there have already been 4 go arounds in about 45 min.
Just though I would share.

If this needs to be moved please do.

Make that 5 go arounds, LuLz

That 1st plane had a good bit of yaw to it on its approach. That was kind of a sketchy landing.

I've been enjoying fighter jets lately.
I found this video extremely fascinating. Its two US F14 Tomcats just out doing some non confrontational flying when two Libyan Mig23's were seen taking off on radar and continue to seek out the F-14's even after they make several efforts to avoid them.
The Mig 23's wound up ejecting which is another fascinating subject on its own.

This video is reinacted I believe as you can't see anything but clouds in the real one. In the real vid you only catch a glimpse of a Mig 23 so this one is much better. There is one kill shot taken from the real flight recorder video.

Carrier landing

My favorite landing video.

F18 Cartier landing in low visibility.

Some things to watch in that video.

Watch the PIG on the deck of the ship. Left hand side when he lands. Google it.

Watch his left hand in the throttle when he touches down, full throttle. What a rush that has to be.

He has a good chance to film a plane crash one day. Maybe some of his viewers (not you) are waiting for that.

My God, I hope not.
I'm just one of those geeks that looks up every time I hear a plane and stares like a moron.
I watch this channel for hours on clear days.

This storm is fun. They're shaving hours off their transit times going east. A 787 was tracked at 804 mph, and two flights made the crossing at 4 hours 57 minutes and 4 hours 56 minutes.

Just read records were set. Conversely its probably 15 hours going east.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm very near the Newark Airport (NJ). You can't avoid watching them when they pass by so close.

It's bad enough that a Norwegian flight for London just said screw it and landed in Copenhagen.

Yeah I found this about a week ago. My daughter was playing with her Minnie mouse plane, so I just started looking to show her how a real one takes off and lands. She lost interest in about 5 minutes, I ended up watching it about all day. Love that stuff.

This is pretty neat I'm going to check it out more a little later. I've always had a fascination with planes. S & F! Thanks!
