(or well..... I guess I could but it wouldn't really change anything...)
And that right there sums it up.
I encounter this response more than any other when a problem arises in the modern world.
"what's the point? No use fighting, nobody listens, nothing changes..." and other similar excuses.
It's never our fault, it's always theirs....
And this is exactly why we're an insane species. We do the same things, or the same nothing to be more precise, over and over, then wonder why we
don't get different results.
If we don't do something, then who will?
Same for the "Here's some links to research"
I've been linked, I've talked, I've been going around in circles with people for literally decades now.
"Let's talk more" "Let's read and look at stats more" "It's not that simple..."
How many more website articles and studies am I meant to read? How much longer am I meant to be discussing the same things I have been discussing
since I was a teenager? At what point do we go "It's time to do something?"
I'm not American, but we have similar problems in my own country, every country has these issues, and very few exist where the 'people' actually do
anything about it. (Although here in Australia there isn't such a huge divide between states here as in the U.S Here each state is pretty similar,
where as every U.S state seems to act like it's own country.)
Doesn't even need to be a violent revolution. Doesn't necessarily require guns. But it does require actual action. (look at Iceland)
I've been ready to go for years. But I am just one man. I have tried to get the ball rolling but am always met with the same excuses I mentioned
People will agree things need to change, I say 'well let's go change them' but get 'nah that would require effort and sacrifice, let's just whine some
more on facebook and hope the broken fixes itself'
Imagine how America would be today if this attitude was taken during the War for Independence or the American Civil War.
Imagine how Australia would be if the miners of the 'Eureka Stockade' just took out ads in the local paper saying "England sucks!" and nothing else
instead of fighting the powers that be.
The governments don't need to step on our necks, we step on our own for them.
Just getting tired of seeing these same discussion over and over and the same results every time.
Politicians suck, government is broken. But hey let's just keep voting for the same people and parties over and over and hope it will change and
We fight among ourselves, we point blame at each other instead of going after the ones responsible.
"Oh it's not my fault, I live in Kentucky and voted for the RIGHT person.... It's the people in San Francisco at fault! They voted for the WRONG
Pass the buck and blame. We're all responsible. It's no more 'their' fault than it's 'ours', just easier to look at flaws in others than ourselves.
Just easier to pass blame than take responsibility.
And it's exactly what the politicians want, love and rely on.
While we're on the net bitching and pointing fingers at each other at least we're not going after them hey?
Even worse is they can do it right in front of us, we know they're doing it, but they know we'll choose to ignore it.
We've been engineered to perfection.
Seriously for folks like me, all these conversations are like watching a ship sink and seeing people drown because they're too busy saying "Well I
could save myself, but I think I'll just wait until someone comes and piggy backs me to a life boat"
Just wish people would stop complaining they're drowning when they're not even trying to swim.
Every day, every week, every month, every year. All I see is the same old #.
Stop drowning and save yourselves.
Superman aint coming.
Otherwise please do everyone else a favour and just drown in silence.
Our 'forefathers' would be rolling in their graves.
They gave us these countries and this is what we do with it?
If Pelosi is bad for the country, GET RID OF HER, if Trump is bad for the country GET RID OF HIM. If anyone is bad for your country do the same.
If the system is broke and cannot fix itself, get rid of it and put in a system that works. FOR EVERYBODY.
The solutions are simple. What is lacking is people willing to make the required effort.
But yeah if you don't need to do what needs to be done, stop complaining it's not being done. Please just stop.
