I've already said the firing doesn't really bother or surprise me.

When I said more open to it, it was under the context of allegations. So members have been saying he had shady dealing in Ukraine... I've asked to see evidence of such.

In addition to vindman and his twin brother, 70 positions were cut from the National Security Council last week. The NSC used to consist of 12 people under George Bush and had ballooned to 400 people under Obama.

Will they ALL be escorted out by White House cops?

Probably not. As you well know.

A phone call or something like telling them their services are no longer required is sufficient.

I don't know if what he said was true, if he was coaxed, or if what he said had any pertinence to how our country is being run.

Would you know espionage if it bit you?

Or how about insubordination?

What was the espionage?

Are you implying Vindman gave secrets to an ally?

If he leaked the phone call then yes.

Diplomatic phone calls between the presidents of two countries are typically secret.

There's no reason we would want Russia knowing what Trump and Zelensky were talking about. What if they had been conspiring to do something harmful to Russian interests?

But once you leak it, EVERYONE knows. The Russians, the Chinese, the Koreans............ EVERYONE.

Maybe Trump let them hang around so they could incriminate themselves, giving them a false sense of security.
I wonder if we will learn of any of those never trumper deep staters being indicted, time will tell.

President Trump said at a helicopter press briefing... "I caught them. I caught them all!".

Hopefully the DOJ is looking into Schiff-Ciaramella-Vindman, for colluding to take down President Trump with impeachment.

If they did, Trump's impeachment is wiped from the records.

Was that today?
Sounds great!

No, it was in January when the president was on his way to a rally somewhere.

The Checks and Balances, are the Legislative and Judicial Branches to the Executive and vice versa.

Appointees of the President serving within the executive branch can be hired and fired for any or no reason at any time. Perhaps you should take a civics class sometime to refresh yourself on how our govt. is constructed.

Hmmm,
missed this post,
I know all about what can be done, more's the pity with this President...who fires witnesses to his bad behaviour already.

However, just because he did it, doesn't necessarily make it right...people are watching this all play out and the Trump propagandists might just beginning to think that they are getting more and more at the end of the road, and where ordinary Trump voters start to say that Trump really is not good for America in the long run, when he usurps the law, and sacks witnesses, credible people from their jobs and metes out his own justice elsewhere in a judicial case where a friend has been found guilty, and in that case Trump is not going to say about seeking a modified sentence, but is saying that it's another, attack on...guess who? Oh Yeh! Donald Trump. Infamy, Infamy! everyone's got it in for me is the cry from Trump, what a fecking wimp that man is, I dare say that Trump is near all out of lawyers by now should he 'ever' need them, I leave you with a Giuliani quote,
" Trump is 'very loyal,' but I have 'insurance' just in case"............

Dems keep saying Trump "usurps the law". But you saw what just happened, right?

Please tell me you saw it too!

and sacks witnesses, credible people from their jobs

He has the right to let go of whatever staff he wants.

But neither of these brothers limited themselves to telling "the truth". They added quite a lot of spin to that "truth" first, which was outside the scope of their obligation to the inquiry.

(Indeed the sum total of all they added to the discussion was purely limited to spin. All the actual information in their testimony was already public knowledge.)

Obviously Trump is the kind of President to punish people for criticizing his administration or being whistleblowers. This is why Republicans demanding the whistleblower reveal themselves are participating in corruption.

Do what you like, but corruption in government has a negative, not positive, influence on society and even your own personal life. So keep on hurting yourselves, Republicans. At least I’m smart enough to see the issues here.

You’re the ones pushing to end up like China with this particular attitude. I am specifically talking about encouraging Trump’s corruption.

When I first joined ATS in the early 2000s, there was no way people here would openly support a corrupt President. Times have changed. Now this place is a website for corruption fanboys.
Honestly, you've demostrated plenty of times ypu simply don't know what you're talking about.

You fell for and pushed fake news via liberal media and have the audacity to say we're wrong and call us fanboys???

No sir, I don't buy it one bit.

This whole time you thought you were right, when in fact, you've been wrong and blinded this whole time.

We tried to tell you, warned you to be wary of libera media, but you wouldn't hear it, confident in your smug hubris, that you were right and couldn't be wrong.

Well, here we are, we stand above all and seek to remove those corrupt elements, you? A self reflection.

Thank god we defeated you and your ilk.
