That's absurdly unnecessary. Taking the trouble to "reverse" the impeachment involves accepting and taking seriously the idea that the state of "having been impeached" means anything.

It was a trial, logically speaking. The very fact that the defendant was found Not Gulity is enough to negate the charge. The fact that the charge was made is meaningless, if it doesn't hold up in court.

That Congress started the case going is a fact of history. The only way to reverse that is by wiping everybody's memories and destroying the historic documentation.

Does finding someone Not Guilty erase their indictment?

It destroys the vakue of the indictment. The mere fact of "having been indicted" has no significance, on its own.
Just think through the analogy of an ordinary criminal case. If someone is found Not Guilty (e.g. mistaken identity), then "their name is cleared", isn't it? Why should the fact that a false charge was made stay with them indefinitely?

Billy and Hilly did not like Trump taking her Presidency away so they wanted him to be stained "Impeached" just like Billy.

The history books with show the impeachment as being real, just like they do now for Bill Clinton.

And by the way, it is confirmed by President Trump that Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman has been removed from the National Security Council.

Most people over age 40. Can not name Bill Clinton's top accomplishments. People under age 40, forget it.

Honestly, leave it.

I consider this a "cherry" on top of something really sweet anyways, Trump won.

Exactly. I think Trump secretly is ecstatic with this outcome, and is likely hoping they actually do impeach him again.

Imagine, being the only President in history to have been impeached twice, and then win re-election in a landslide.

That is a badge of honor he would proudly display at every opportunity, and rightly so.

The land owner thing is absurd in the current world where most people rent and actually owning a home is damn near impossible for most people, including many who work hard and do all their due diligence.

I have no problem with the rest, but you need to accept the modern reality, land ownership is simply not an acceptable gate for voting.

If it's determined that Schiff-Ciaramella-Vindman conspired to fabricate the fake whistle-blower complaint that got the impeachment circus started in the U.S. House, the House impeachment of President Trump can be nullified.

ALSO..

While House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., continues to insist President Trump will remain impeached "forever" despite his acquittal at his Senate trial, Republicans could attempt to erase impeachment from the president's record if they take back control of the House in November, Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, said Friday.

Since Democrats changed the House Rules and Protocols to Impeach President Trump, Republicans can do the same, if necessary.

The Senate used Jury Nullifiction to acquit him. The charges were not fake in the slightest. Like many Republicans have said, he was obviously guilty. They chose not convict even though they knew he was guilty as charged. This is known as jury nullification which is prohibited to be spoken of in most courtrooms across the USA, but is a legal remedy.

Umm jury nullification involves refusing to try the trial and calling the charge baseless. The jury says we will find them not guilty without the trial starting really.

No they need to retake the house and them make a law stating....No president shall be impeached UNLESS by a 3/4ths majority vote to do so.

How about a list of words the left has rendered meaningless:

RACIST
SEXIST
IMPEACHED

and now
GUILTY

Because the only thing Trump was guilty of was doing his job. Otherwise there would have been actual criminal charges in the Articles. It seems the only thing that libs are good at is redefining words.

Owning land is supposed to be one of the biggest achievements a person can make.

However , I do agree with you on how damn hard it has become to obtain land/homeownership.

Sadly, it's getting harder all the time because people can't commit to long term goals. Our kids are being taught to obsess over trivial # like 1000$ phones and clothes and buying ridiculous cars.

It's not cool to have sensible vehicles, and work your way up to nice things .
They want the rewards of life upfront and don't want to work for them.

They aren't being taught pride of ownership, or maintenance. They also aren't being taught what fiscal sense is.

That doesnt bide well for the future if the mindset of "look how ridiculous I can be with money" mindset that's being envied.

You cant dig your way out of a hole...

No, he was impeached and not removed. The impeachment happened and the non-removal happened.

Nothing can change that.

Agreed, that being said, the GOP should pull out the stops to keep control of the Senate as I don't think the double jeopardy laws apply but I'm not 100% sure on that, or other stuff will be dug up

I want whatever will cause Democrat leaders and pundits the most mental and physical anguish.

Reversing or Removing President Trump's House Impeachment from official records, would finish-off many of the tougher Dims, after the President's re-election, and Republicans take control of the U.S. House, decimate the weaklings.

How is it not reversed already??? Impeachment is a charge of wrongdoing...Trump was acquitted of any wrongdoing...If he was charged with robbing a bank but found to be innocent of the crime, is he still charged with robbing a bank???

ac·quit
/əˈkwit/

1.
free (someone) from a criminal charge by a verdict of not guilty.

They could have found him guilty but voted not to remove him...That wasn't the case...He was deemed innocent of the charge (impeachment) by way of acquittal...

You *will* catch hell over it, but I don't care either.
Why is some freeloading welfare junkie who has never worked a day in their life able to have a say in anything? Something like half of every dollar I earn is taken away to go into various taxes- that's half of every day I work.
Sure, the money itself is a scam, and inflation robs from us all- but I've worked too hard for too hard to own a little bit of land and have a nice stable career.

Agreed!

I've been a self-sufficient, self employed carpenter and logger for over 20 years. I did reasonably well for awhile , and as of the past 10years im nearly broke due to my wifes failing health/disability.

One continuous thing through this whole journey has been busting my ass, and paying a hell of a lot of taxes.

Anyone who is self employed can attest to how damn hard it is to get home loans/buisness loans.

I've had none offered and none taken.

I had to take a land contract just to be able to purchase property, and have been barely scraping by even though I work 50-70 hours/wk.

All the while I watch college kids, ladies who divorced well, and over-paid and under-worked types run around with new cars/trucks /boats and living in rentals that their parents/ freinds own complain about how bad they have it, and how much Trump sucks.

I am so damned tired of watching these guys and gals run around with zero responsibility, zero commitment, zero taxes spew nonsense about how bad they have it.

I love my wife, and family more than anything. If I have to work 90/hrs a week to die broke at work- so be it.

In the end, I'll be able to look back and remember showing my son how to harvest timber responsibly, how to run it through the mill to make lumber, and how to build his families home.

If he has to carry on when im gone, build wheelchair ramps for his mom- he will know how, and I know he won't complain a bit.

I damn sure wont be teaching him to worry about social media trends, or making sure he always buys the newest truck or clothes because the t.v. says so.

However, I damned sure dont want his future being dictated by a bunch of useless nimrods who voted to eliminate the right to live rural, because the t.v. told them to....

A long rant, I know, but some people seriously shouldn't be voting.......

In my opinion, of course.

NotOneOfYou, the above is the most inspirational, patriotic, high-integrity message/post I've seen on ATS in 12 years!

You epitomize the independent and determined spirit that made and keeps America so great, in so many ways.

There are more Americans like you, than there are "socialists" and "liberals". They make a lot of noise, but they're not strategically smart, and wield relatively little power in this country.
