This is very embarressing... not only for the UN but also for Denmark and especially for Helle Thorning Schmidt.
After having spent some time looking after the worlds children (after having taken part in degrading the conditions for Danish kids), HTS has been assigned to the UNs task force to combat the ever exisisting problem of companies utilising tax havens to avoid paying taxes or paying too little.

The only problem... HTS herself is part of the direction of more than one company of which she is trying to combat. She also rubs shoulders and is personal friends with several questionable ceos and board members in tax haven companies.

This puts the UN in a light where you can actually question its total validity. Is the UN merely a tool to keep the super rich safe?

Helle has refused to comment for a week now. Sorry for google translate:

Helle is so close to tax king

Can you explain why an international organization is trying to police national tax laws?

Word is she became a goddess had giants as offspring and a sea named after her is more then most people can say I'd presume...

Helle (/ˈhɛli/; Greek: Ἕλλη : Hellē), or Ellie, sometimes also called Athamantis (Ἀθαμαντίς : Athamantís), was a character in Greek mythology who figured prominently in the story of Jason and the Argonauts.

The Hellespont is the ancient name for the narrow, 65 kilometer water passage between the Aegean Sea and the Sea of Marmara. The Hellespont is known as the Dardanelles today.

According to an ancient Greek legend, the Hellespont was named after a girl named Helle, who fell into the sea (hence 'the sea of Helle'). The Hellespont connects the Aegean Sea in the southwest to the Sea of Marmara and Black Sea in the northeast. The Hellespont has always been regarded as the boundary between Asia to the southeast and Europe in the northwest.

On topic she was cleared of a tax scandal already in 2010 and was quite fond of "selfies"

An investigation into a tax scandal involving Neil Kinnock’s son Stephen threatens to destroy his glamorous wife’s hopes of becoming Prime Minister of Denmark.

The curse of the Kinnocks has struck again after it emerged that Mr Kinnock junior pays taxes in Switzerland - which has the lowest taxes in Europe - and not in Denmark, where his family home is situated but which has the highest tax rates in the world.
