I believe I know whats going on but Im not posting it here the sad thing is rather than admitting the problem which through our embassies,spies and sattelites they all would know what it is we are having a global cover up

I've noticed a few grocery stores with new displays of bulk beans,tomato paste,corn and flour etc

If you haven't gotten the hint yet then possibly prepare to pay a premium and endure long lines

This time the symtoms are different , not like in the zika ....but immuno deficiency or something...then enter coronavirus and people have no defence becouse they been poisoned . Then CCP start hysteria and close down country....make no sense to me to lockdown citys/people , unless they take advantage of this "poisoning" event ?

Instead of blocking WeChat directly which would raise a big response from the populace it’s more effective to block IP ranges or specific IPs. They have rooms full of people from countryside and college students looking for some extra cash watching stuff and blocking it on a custom app written in China. The app communicates directly to servers which blacklist addresses.

They can and do block ranges from being seen from outside China.

Yea.. by "down" I mean unable to get traffic in or out. I can only get pings from some major providers - China Telecomm and Alibaba for instance.. I imagine it would take some real pressure to get Alibaba offline. And telephone service is required for others. But I pinged a bunch of other providers with no response. They are blocking a -lot- of traffic right now. Many attack maps are showing some traffic, probably VPN or what-not.. but looks like a lot of residential ISP service is down now.

Trump administration taps 'emergency' funds to combat deadly coronavirus

The Trump administration has notified Congress that it will tap $105 million from a reserve fund designed to combat infectious diseases in response to the coronavirus.

this number will swell to $400 million once they add my little project to the total. The estimate i worked up was going to be coming from a reserve fund as well.

I am not trying to stoke panic, but you guys need to get prepared THIS week. NOW is the time to get what you need.

So further tests - some major manufacturers like Alibaba and Huawei (and a couple universities) are up.. they probably utilize the only major ISP still online in China I think, China Telecom Shanghai. Many other ISPs are down, and many other sites. Shanghai is not completely shut down at this point, but greatly curtailed from what I can tell. I can't reach any Peg Tech sites. Can't reach a single webcam, their Internet at this point is greatly reduced.

This is not an ISP issue. Some outages can be traced to a single source, but not the case here. It looks like many ISPs are down, and possibly the only source still up is the one that also provides services like phone service, so it is not as easily turned off. Going to keep an eye on this, and keep doing some tracing.. this is not a good thing, not for a city of that size.

long time lurker been following this and the other thread since the beginning.

This thread has made me uneasy to say the least with all the bio weapon talk .

But watching the SOTU Address tonight made me feel alot better. The people in the room were as "in the know" as anyone.

They are also all politicians, and politicians travel all over the country and the world shaking hands and kissing babies.

They are very exposed to the public.

I do not believe if there was any chance, no matter how small that this was an airborn bioweapon these people would want to be exposed yo any other people that were posssibly exposed to that.

it made me feel a little better anyway and compelled me to create an account and hope it makes others feel a little better.

You're making claims of Shanghai being mostly offline, which honestly wouldn't shock me given the Chinese government, but providing no evidence other than your word. Sorry, I wouldn't even know where to begin to find websites that are hosted out of the city.

You can test it easily yourself. Go to a site like: Shanghai IP Addresses

Then (if using Windows.. let me know if you are on Mac OS), click on Start > type Cmd (or Powershell if so inclined), and enter. Then run ping ip.address

You'll see some subnets are fine - like China Telecom 116 or 144. Those are probably subnets reserved for corporations like Alibaba, which are still online. Then test the other IPS or subnets of China Telecom. Their 180 subnet seems huge, and I believe that is probably their residential subnet. Nothing responds. They are blocking it. OR.. possibly their ping is off for that subnet.. but I doubt it. They are blocked most likely.. the bulk of their IP addresses.

Make sure you but N95 masks as a bare minimum.
