I hope Bernie gets the nomination so that we can finally have a moratorium on the merits of Capitalism versus the merits of Socialism.

Will John Galt be running against Bernie and I missed it?

Not exactly, but it's as close as well ever get with what we have.

Normal Democrats and Republicans are moderates....the Dems have no moderates and thus no chance
Of course they said that about Trump too, BUT, i think peeps are willing to overlook Trumps retarded antics as long as the econkmy is good. If he would just can the douchebaggery I could like.him more. For now.though....i like.his policies and thats enough.

In some ways Trump’s ‘douchebaggery’ is part of his appeal. I know I enjoy him calling out the asshats in Congress on both sides of the aisle and his lack of political polish if fun. Him not being a full of crap politicians is refreshing to me.

People don't flock to Bernie because of "free stuff."

Bullcrap. This is the ONLY reason students and young like the sound of this guy. Free, Free, Student Loan Forgiveness, Free, etc.

Most have not had a taste of the real world and gotten to realize that someone is paying for all your "Freeness".

The millennial entitlement syndrome flows with the Bernie Supporters.

Looks like Bernie is going in strong to Iowa, Ohio, New Hampshire and California. I expect his voter turn out will end the many delusional posts on here that he only has 100k fringe supporters.

I’m not a student, or young, or poor. And I support Bernie. So I expect your generalization is delusional. Plenty people from all walks like his message. That our taxes can work for us rather than a select segment of the population. That we can have a fairer, more free society, that cares about its people, where there are opportunities for many to prosper and be middle class.

And the fact that he has more military support than any other candidate, including trump, shows that the armed forces, not part of your purported demographic for sanders, firmly believes in him as well.

After watching this video I've concluded Bernie represents my views and my interests:

I think it's Howard Roark...John Galt is too busy making money.

Good to see another Ayn Rand fan here...

ETA - I love her mind. Her face? Not so much...kinda homely. But I wouldn't want to marry her anyway - just quote her.

And what the billionaire robber barons are doing isn't theft??? This is not the 1970s. The billionaires control the lobbyists have ALL the representation. The billionaires pay the lobbyists to pass laws creating monopolies and cartels in exchange for campaign financing. If you don't think the billionaires are screwing the America worker by gouging the consumer and price fixing wages then you are just not paying attention.

Why is one type of theft okay and the other type not okay? I say eff em!! Eff the billionaires!!!!

Bernie isn't perfect but like Trump, he is remarkably consistent. He represents an existential threat to the true world order ruled by the hyper-corporate kleptocracy. Not because he can threaten them directly, but because he raises questions in public that might weaken their position or threaten fake democracies around the world.

Hard-working people here and elsewhere will be activated like antibodies to contain the threat. Magic words will be invoked on both sides of the fake political dogpile. Not to stop Bernie, per se. He is just one old man with zero support from the Davos hypercorps. They fear the underlying questioning of the core system. If we knew where most of the money went, we'd be hanging them from lamposts and they know it.

I'm now a home owner that works a blue collar job. I also know that research consistently shows that a healthier and more educated population tends to be happier and more productive. Which in the end means a more economically prosperous society.

Wait, what? Trump is consistent? He loved Hillary before it became convenient to not lock her up.

I don't support Bernie but I have my finances organized to benefit from an economic downturn with Bernie as president. I believe Bernie being nominated will cause gold to go up by at least 25%. There's no limit to the price of gold going up with Bernie as president. If I'm taxed too much under socialist policies I'll just stop working & stop paying taxes. What Bernie's supporters don't understand is that to get Medicare for all everyone's income will be taxed by at least 50%. To get free college education & student loan debt forgiveness, people will be taxed even more & to get a Green New Deal people will be taxed even more. Under Medicare for all individual healthcare will cost 75% more through taxes. Estimates are that Medicare for all will cost 52 trillion over the next decade. We're already near 24 trillion in debt. If one devides that combined number by the number of people in the U.S. (320 million) divided by 10 years, it comes out to $23,750 per person per year for Medicare for all. The more people are taxed, the less money they have to spend in the free market, which will cause the free market to collapse & people to lose jobs & businesses. Every American benefits with Trump as president. Only people with hidden assets & who don't work will benefit with Bernie as president.

Pigsqeal zooting and big dumb shows.

Political theater aside, he is consistent in his unwavering support for himself and all that represents.

Yeah, that's exactly what I want in a politician, one out for himself.

Unfortunately, that is the gold standard for politicians in all fake democracies. However, Trump's guiding light has often put him at odds with the Davos hypercorps and that at least is friction.

Actually, medical costs with our current system are projected to be right around that amount. So I guess the real question is, do we want a system at that cost that, like now, we still have to cover uncovered costs in, where people ration which care they can afford personally, and still suffer bankruptcies from, with outrageous drug costs and people still unable to afford their insulin, epi pens etc?

Or do we want to pay that amount and have all our needs and expenses covered? No bankruptcies? People having real healthcare instead of “access” to healthcare.
