So Now That Impeachment Is All But Over

Give it time. The democratic party is in flux, and i expect there will be great changes in both the RNC and DNC as people are growing more active and recognizing the game thats been status quo for some time, and finding new ways to combat it. We are seeing more grassroots growing, and quickly.

You dont believe in sanders anymore, thats fine. But he's redefined the democratic platform in a drastic way, in a way that resonates with many people from different ideological groups. Hes literally trying to buck the system that you all criticize so much by using the dem platform against itself, and is showing, like trump, that independents can ram themselves through the establishment with the peoples support. What we are seeing, with the last election and this one, is the collapse of the establishments deadlock on control. Its pretty glorious.

Last time nobody thought trump or sanders would get any traction, and they wound up both being serious contenders. It opened the door to chance. I am happy with sanders chances this round. I dont demand he win, I'm happy enough that he does, in fact, have a fighting chance.

Not only rock solid, but so URGENT that they bypassed going to the Judicial branch to subpoena witnesses. They needed to remove Trump IMMEDIATELY. So why are they crying to the Senate to do the very thing they claimed would take them too long? Because it gives them one more thing to wail about for the TV cameras and their gullible base. Thing is, and this is the funny part, many have realized this. And thats why we now have sanders, cortez, yang, omar, gabbard, and people like them. THEY are the anti-establishment democrats who are the public response to decades of pelosi and her ilk. They are the true progressive and change that is the blowback to the long term, establishment core of the corrupt dnc. And yet, while ya'll ridicule left wingers for not recognizing how corrupt their party is, when a group and shift starts to arise like this, its vehemently attacked by you, the republicans, the establishment dems, the msm and everyone else.

For the first time in many decades there is an ACTUAL left wing representative block existing, not just a warmongering, corporateering, corrupt center right. This is a really good thing, i think, because between this actual left, and the republicans actual right, you will get a real balance. I think this bodes well for the future. Further, if this happens at some point on the right wing, where real conservatives actually wind up showing up in the rnc, rather than warhawk, corporatist, corrupt vultures, Id support the hell out of that too! I loved ron paul, and I'd be all for any new republican candidates that had integrity, wisdom, and actually believed in conservative fiscal policies, real family values like compassion, trust, honesty and humility, and believed in conservative foreign policy like ending wars for profit, dealing with diplomacy and integrity, etc. Dont see that happening now, but hope we can get some of that soon.

A real conservative party balanced by a real progressive party. What a glorious dream! I hope to see it in my lifetime.

As a former Bernie or bust supporter, I can confidently say that Bernie is full of it. He is a grifter and just as full of it as any them. How you can still support that old crank is beyond me but don't try to tell me the guy is in for anything other himself.

Yang is better but it is your Dem party that doesn't give him any chance of ever becoming relevant.

Trump managed to do it despite both sides fighting against him.

Your side hasn't found a fighter like Trump that can outwit or out manuever the swamp.

And to be clear, I dont have a side. I have no particular party affiliation, and i dont really see the republican or democratic establishment as better or worse, or even terribly different, than each other. I find them both to be roadblocks to progress and actual representation, and anything that shakes that up, including trump, i find preferable to their preferred candidates. I encouraged friends and family to vote for trump over clinton last cycle. I voted for ron paul. And i will also vote for sanders. Because im not a partisan hack. Honestly, i feel that anyone who says "blue or bust" or "I will never vote democrat again" lack the objectivity to see past their own prejudices. I dont vote democrat or republican, I vote for the candidates and their platforms or issues.

You should vote straight ticket Republican then. The Democrats had the opportunity to call all these people in the House, and if the Administration resisted, resolve it in court. Instead, they blatantly lied and said they couldn't do that because it was urgent to get the impeachment done ASAP, which became obviously false when Pelosi held the Articles. They knew the Republicans wouldn't support witnesses in the Senate, and that's exactly what they wanted so they could trick people like you into voting for them. They didn't want witnesses because that would destroy Biden for the general election. So congrats, you've been lied to and manipulated into voting exactly how they want.

The whole impeachment process was a scam by Schiff/Pelosi/Nadler and the democrat/never trumper group.

In the end they did the right thing, get back to the people's work. Besides they need to get ready for a wave of indictments to come from John Durham, it's been slow motion but they are coming.

I think the Dems made such a weak case knowing the Senate would refuse additions precisely because it was the only play they had left to fire up the undecided voter in view of the upcoming election.

Complain about something that, on the face of it, and with no real explanation, just seems wrong-NO WITNESSES! HOW CAN THEY DO THAT!!!

It was a hail mary in the hopes of inflaming anti-Trump hatred but I feel they have badly misjudged the intelligence of the average voter.

You can't just make up the bloody rules as you go along Dems, we will see where this road takes you, nowhere good I fear.

Dems would have no supporters at all if they relied on the truth to garner support. In fact, it's just the opposite, the Dems rely on the uneducated, ignorant and easily manipulated among us for their voter base.
