Leaders of the annual Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Friday night formally disinvited Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) from attending the event next month over his vote to approve additional witnesses in the Senate impeachment trial.

That isn't right. He should have been invited. He may be voting against not having witnesses to show that the Republicans are not voting partisan. Not one Democrat voted against impeachment in the house, remember that, so that definitely shows that that vote was party orientated. The Senator from Alaska was thinking about voting for witnesses but in the end changed her mind. That also shows that Republican Senators were actually considering voting for the witness being allowed. So it was a real good move to prove that they considered it anyway.
No such thing happened in the house at all, not one house Democrat even considered not voting to impeach from what I get.
We cannot make assumptions as to what the Republicans are thinking and blast Romney for this. Oops, maybe I should not be saying this, there are Democrats here who may leak a possible tactic being used.
On the other hand, Romney may just be voting his conscience, and that is all right, it did not effect anything. Romney is a stout Christian and does believe in making sure if possible that things are done correctly.

You beat me to it...
Mitt may be in trouble... Utah is as conservative, as they get. Utah is Trump country.
Mitt still has a snag in his panties, because he lost the nomination. He, arguably, lost to the two most divisive Presidential candidates in history, if you include Pres. Obama in 2012. He's bitter, spiteful and petty.
He may get recalled, because he acted upon his bruised ego. Awwwwwww....
