Wow, so Canada does not have basic human rights then. Freedom of speech and the press is sacrosanct and any country that does not have it, can't be called free by any stretch.

My opinion of Canada just took an extreme downturn. It's leader can censor speech that is negative about them. Wow!

Nope, my "whole" existence is not limited to any one particular view. My comment is based on what is being played out right now in both Canada and in the US. What's pathetic, is that there are people who refuse to believe that the "Left" are the ones who embody socialism, communism and now fascism. So why would this be a "narrow view of the world" if this is true, based on their actions? Read the headlines much? Well I do and I stand by my comment.

The author of this article "nails" it back in 2015:

His book is all ready a best seller. It wasn't censored in any way. It never can be at this point. It doesn't change the fact that he's a discord agent using "the government doesn't want you to hear this" propaganda to further divisive politics. It just proves how effective that type of propaganda is.

This Country is assbackwards when it comes to the "law". And the RCMP do nothing about criminals and that INCLUDES Trudeau. I usually end up taking matters into my own hands when it comes to thieves and trespassers, but you know what? my methods work and I never see them again.

The west coast needs to be addressed, the liberals proposing a new immigration system might help with the influx of random Chinese immigrants buying up land and houses, but that still doesn't fix the banana republic of the oil and lumber provinces.

The feds are doing some good work, people just hate Trudeau and only focus on him. They did dig us out of a trade war, which had a direct effect on me (although the US just put a 6.7% tariff on fabricated steel going into the US, but doesn't matter real estate magnates just pay the tax).

The reason he's being questioned is because he spent over $500.00 making signs promoting his book The Libranos (my oen mother has one in her yard) that looked like election signs and put them up during an election, which contravenes Canadas elections act. It has nothing really to do with his book.

It's speech you don't like that needs defense most of all. It's very, very easy to promote the freedom to say what you agree with and only what you agree with and then say that everyone who agrees with you has somehow "transcended", but that's bull.

People who are free to think and come to their own conclusions will always have a certain number of different opinions. If everyone is thinking the same, someone isn't thinking (paraphrasing Patton there).

But the thing about this is... is no one is censoring this man. He wrote a best selling book. Tons of people support him. He's a regular guest on political talk shows, and writes pieces for major newspapers.

He's just spinning this to make it look like he's being punished for talking about Trudeau. Half of the country doesn't like Trudeau, no one is being punished for that.

Elections Canada has an issue with him because he fundraised more than $500.00 during an election period to put up materials that made it seem that he fronted a political party, which he doesn't.

So theyre wondering why he didnt register as a political party if he wanted to participate in electoral advertising. Electoral advertising is protected, just the same as it is in the US, because citizens have the right to clearly see who is running in an election.

Would most Canadians have been confused by the signs? No, I don't think so, but it still goes against the elections act, and Ezra Levant isn't stupid, so I feel he probably knew that.
