Warren Wants Civil and Criminal Charges for Anyone disseminating Fake News About Voting...

Warren's plan does not go so far as to suggest criminal penalties for everything the government declares to be "disinformation," fortunately. But she does propose criminal and civil penalties for anybody who attempts to spread false information about the voting process. This comes directly from her plan released today to "Fight Digital Disinformation." Here's her actual proposal (emphasis hers):

Push to create civil and criminal penalties for knowingly disseminating false information about when and how to vote in U.S. elections: Voter suppression efforts of any kind offend basic American values. In both the 2016 and 2018 elections, online disinformation sought to depress voter turnout by telling people they could vote via text, giving people the wrong date for election day, and more. I will push for new laws that impose tough civil and criminal penalties for knowingly disseminating this kind of information, which has the explicit purpose of undermining the basic right to vote.

That's the only part of her plan that calls for criminal penalties for speech. It's still bad and wrong, but not as awful as it could be. Warren links to a report from the Brennan Center about Russian-led online suppression campaigns that aren't just about deceiving voters but also encouraging them to "boycott" elections.

You read that right, fake Pocahontas wants to implement civil and criminal charges against anyone whom would dare "spread misinformation/fake news" about voting...for now...

This is ironic since Warren herself has been caught regurgitating "fake news/disinformation". From her false claims of being Native American, to claiming she was fired because she was pregnant, when in a past interview she said she made that decision herself and wasn't forced. Not to mention the fact that she is among the democrats whom still claim "Trump colluded with Russia", while she ignores that these claims came from Russian officials like Vyacheslav Trubnikov and Vladislav Surkov. With Surkov being the mastermind behind "Putisnim," and still being Putin's number 1 advisor. it's obvious this dictatorial rat wants to control what news people read, or hear. Anything she disapproves of will mean civic and criminal penalties if she is POTUS.

I find it ironic how the "journalist" whom wrote this piece claims "it's not as bad as it could be..."

So knowing that this sack of crap passing as a senator, and whom is running as a Presidential candidate, apparently wants to control what news people read, or hear. You have got to wonder why so many AmeriKans are in favor of such a blatant attempt by Warren to control what Americans read, or hear.

To me this is further proof of how authoritarian the democrats/socialists have become.

If she is elected you can say goodbye to "free speech" alongside our Second amendment.

Yep, btw, to those claiming "she only wants to stop false dissemination on when and how to vote" read the part in which she wrote, and I quote:

...Voter suppression efforts of any kind offend basic American values...

Then she also wrote: "...I will push for new laws that impose tough civil and criminal penalties for knowingly disseminating this kind of information, which has the explicit purpose of undermining the basic right to vote..."

That part right there is vague enough to include a myriad of other reasons why people can get punished in civic and criminal courts. More so when nowhere did she write "only if people lie when and how to vote in U.S. elections." She also states she will push for "new laws", in plural. Which would imply she is open for making other information she deems "fake news" as being illegal.

She has a good idea! It should be illegal to mess with a person's ability to vote.

On the other hand, when did the name of a new law actually match the words eventually passed as law.

Thankfully, President Trump gets to say ya or nah on new laws.

She should lock herself up for disseminating that she’s a Native American so she could benefit financially and play the minority card to influence the election.

She doesn't mean impeachment,or bombshells about some jacksnip that says Xyz = QED.

Warren wants to rig voting in her favor like a good little authoritarians her party has become.

That should also extend to politicians that lie without regard within their manifesto using false "facts" and doctored statistics.. I would say that would give a high degree of probability to influence the voting process.

Since it seems some Government officials and law makers seem to "stitch people up" after the fact as in passing a law today and anyone guilty of said "crime" yesterday is still fair game for prosecution that would mean every politician within living memory would have a case to answer.....

Here is where the difference is. Conservative people tend to not want change, liberals want change. Liberals are more apt to try to change the rules to make it so they can control things, conservatives want to preserve integrity and want slow changes. Liberals like changing things fast, creating the internet and having it so they can erase their mistakes is something they prefer. Liberals tend to be more into causing chaos from ill thought out changes than conservatives do.

There are a lot more liberal Democrats than liberal Republicans. Also, conservatives tend to respect the rights of everyone more than liberals do, Liberals tend to only like to respect the rights of other liberals. Conservatives tolerate liberals way more than liberals tolerate conservatives and liberals will try to attempt to suppress conservatives views by multiple practices than Conservatives attempt to suppress liberals views. Conservatives use existing laws more to fight Liberals over indulgences, but liberals tend to avoid using laws properly.

As an example, Hillary has refused to accept the serving of Tulsi's lawsuit twice, she is using a loophole to cover up being dragged into court, shuffling it off for a while. Tulsi would win that lawsuit, so Hillary is just going to ignore it.
