Because Bolton cannot give any answer that isn't already provided for in the TRANSCRIPT.

THERE WAS NO CRIME.

Bolton can give context to what that transcript so clearly states.

He has nothing of value to add other than his bitterness for getting fired. Also value to his book sale. They know he doesn't have real evidence. Just a final smear job. He wasn't even in Trump's inner loop. Trump booted him out early on.

We don't need context, the transcript clearly states nothing criminal nor even remotely criminal.

You're right. It is not their job to look for more evidence.

But it is their job to vote to hear witnesses. And why wouldn't they? If the witnesses can confirm or deny evidence provided by the House?

I have an answer as to why. It's pretty simple.

not my area of expertise in the slightest but as impeachment is rarely used i dont think its ever gotten to that threshold. but as id be willing to bet 50k that when trump wins in 2020 if the dems still have a house majority they will jump back on this impeachment nonsense and keep wasting the nations time .then the courts may look into it but im not gonna hold my breath

and just as a warning to dems ,we republicans due to over use of terms racist sexist etc now mostly ignore those terms because the left tosses them at anything they dont like are vastly looking at the dems in the light of "the boy who cried wolf" so to speak that if he actually does something legitimately terrible were at the stage where we wont care or even pay attention because the left has flipped out over every little thing hes done for the last 3 years in the longest temper tantrum i have seen since i was a frigging nanny to a two year old.

so blame the "resistance dems" for republican apathy ,and the kavanaugh stunt and the reeeing and the orange man bad mantra we have been over whelmed with since he kicked in the dnc and rnc teeth to win in 2016 in the first place

That transcript is a few lines of a months long conspiracy. Not sure why so much weight is given to it.

Be nice to have someone in the know, like a witness (Bolton maybe?), to shed light on it.

Your answer may be simple but that wont make it the right answer.

Witnesses are to be called in the House and then presented to Senate for a vote on whether or not to remove the president from office. The end.

This is a PARTISAN POLITICAL process
Dems rule the house
Gop rules the senate

Were it actually a "fair" process these articles would not have been brought

Why expect more from the gop than the dems?

No. Had Trump not withheld aid from Ukraine for the purpose of getting an investigation into the son of a political rival these articles would not have been brought.

Lol
Sure
As if the house dems havent been working on this for 2 &1/2 years
Ask nancy
Her words
This is bs
And they dont have 67 votes
So it is a bad dnc joke

One they will pay for at the polls

Okay then. /Thread.

If they have a question on the evidence provided by the House, they can vote for clarification by witness(es).

I have an answer as to why. It's pretty simple.

So am I, but I'm not in the Senate so I can't change anything.

Why is the senate scared to hear from Bolton?

Hahaha
Why was the house scared to go to court?
Cause they have no respect for law?

It is? Funny that the only "evidence" the Dems can muster are the transcript. Which they cannot even directly quote, as they find it necessary to LIE and make up the words that were actually said.

I'm afraid this is way over your head son.

Not true, you must not be paying attention to the Dems as this was just answered by Jeffries re: Clinton impeachment trial.

Nay, Senate has all the information they need to make an informed judgement on the charges the House presented to them.

This is America today.
