No, my denial is right here in the U.S.

I just want a real witness called.

Other than the 17 that the House called?

Hell, I want a unicorn named Gary.

Guess neither one of us gets to have what we want.

Yeah. I want Bolton, Pompeo, Mulvaney, the ones the White House blocked.

*sigh*

Tough sh#t.

You don't always get what you want.

But if you try sometimes, . . . . . you still don't get what you want.

No?

Trump himself has been invited to testify.

Anyone he wants could testify.

These things don't happen.

Why's that?

In America, you don't have to prove your innocence, others have to prove your guilt.

Not from around here are ya.

That explains a lot.

I've only lived here 42 years. Yes.

And I'm aware, you needn't prove your innocence.

When I speak of a President, I place some high standards.

18, but they weren't "real" witnesses. He said he wants REAL witnesses. DUH

The OP only wants witnesses that will support the coup attempt.

The president has the same rights as anyone else.

Try again.

Agreed. However, what has Trump done wrong? Well, bad question. He's done plenty wrong - we all have.

I just don't see the point in holding hearings and wasting time when we already know the result. We know Dems only want this because it will kneecap Bernie and allow this term's annointed one to "clinch" the nomination

If the Dems hadn't spent 3 years working to get Trump by inventing and creating any and all allegations to get to him.

How are we supposed to know what's true? Dems have lied about so much. From Russia to Kavanaugh to Nick Sandmann to the POTUS. Why should I suddenly believe them now?

I said it after Mueller: they cried wolf and lost. And I will never believe another word out of their mouths. The burden of proof is always on the accuser, and they haven't once come close to meeting it

And without a compliant, lame duck lap dog media they'd have been exposed in Feb of 2016

Because the House didn't call them, and the Senate rules right now do not allow for witnesses.

Biden did wrong in vice presidency? Ok. Hold him accountable.

But Trump may be actively doing wrong in his presidency.

Hold him accountable.

Let's get witnesses. Vote for them. Hold your senators to task.

May be doing wrong.

The proof for that is what? Oh that's right you don't have any. None of the 17 witnesses have proof of any wrong doing - in fact all their testimony points to the exact opposite.

Sondland is the closest thing they have to someone declaring wrong doing - and all he claims to know is that a presidential meeting was contingent on an announcement of an investigation.

But the actual victims claim they were not pressured.

How on Earth do you think there is a problem when the alleged victim denies there is one??

You are irrational - that is the only logical answer.

You don't care there are 15 people that have testified or made public statements no quid pro quo happened instead you choose to believe they are all lying in a grand conspiracy.

I'll flee to Canada.

Schiff committed a crime today. Perjury. He 100% lied about his contact with the "whistleblower".

Do you hold congress to the same standard as the president?

You said the president didnt commit a crime that you know of, but, we all know Schiff did today....

Think about that comrade!

Lolz🤪

The Senate is basically the jury. Have you ever been on jury duty? The jury doesn't get to ask for more witnesses. They can ask to review the material presented. But they don't tell the prosecution or defense "Hey could you add more witnesses beyond the ones you already have?" You keep saying they should ask for more witnesses. That's not their job. The house should have suppoened everyone they wanted and allowed the defense to call witnesses. They didn't. They didn't allow defense witnesses and they decided to skip the system of going through the courts to get those witnesses.

In fact it was so urgent that they didn't have time to wait that Nancy held the articles afterward. You understand that her holding things up actually contradicts them claiming it was too urgent for them to wait for the courts?

Personally, as a Trump supporter, I'd be perfectly happy either way. Call witnesses. Don't call witnesses. I don't care. Doesn't change the fact that the House effed the whole thing up and the Senate isn't required to do their job for them.

No. Had Trump not withheld aid from Ukraine for the purpose of getting an investigation into the son of a political rival these articles would not have been brought.

So we are to assume that that is why the aid was delayed? And we are also to assume that it was for political reasons? Why? To top it all off, even if the worst case was true, it still does not warrant impeachment. Hell, this last three years of bogus investigations--including the impeachment circus--was all for a political purpose. Don't buy the tripe about it being a national security issue, or that the electoral process has somehow been sabotaged. Hyperbolic nonsense.
