In order to do it right, the House would have to do it right, but because this is a coup attempt, there is no "right" way to do it.

What the House did was wrong. There is no "right" way to do something wrong.

You'll just have to get it through your head that what they (the House) did was improper and wrong to begin with.

"i can't make excuses for idiots"

I, for one, think that you can speak on behalf of idiots everywhere just fine. In fact, idiots of the world might want to make you their poster child at this point.

Don't ever underestimate yourself dear.

Yeah, everything you said that the left has said about Trump is a bunch of crap.

Let's hear from a direct witness (or two, or three).

Agreed. It was done wrong.

Thing is...we have a Trial Without Witnesses and it is bogus.

If anyone on the Senate wants to believe themselves doing right and just passing this off...they are criminal. They are not fulfilling their oath.

I stand by thread title (it's my only voice, really). We have a trial without witnesses.

And that is bogus. We have a president on trial and we don't choose to hear any reason why.

There was 17 witnesses. That is not no witnesses.

If you are not even honest, your arguments have zero credibility.

OK I tend to agree with a few points you make. Quite a few actually

But, realistically, what's the point? It's all based on hearsay which itself rests upon the wrong premise that investigating a suspicious act is somehow bad simply because the suspect happens To be a candidate

These aren't mere allegations. Biden admitted to the quid pro quo (normal practice, qpq not unusual). Hunter does hold a position for which he made millions in exchange for zero work performed. This is very odd.

Let's also not forget the numerous lawyers and executive branch employees who have been exposed speaking of coups and insurance policies

If ANYTHING was improper it was Mueller's team which consisted of demonstrably anti Trump staffers

What you're seeing is the establishment in it's death throes. We've already driven the stake through its cold black heart, now we just have to stand back as it draws it's last wretched breath to ensure no good/ACTUAL people are taken down with it

But.i too would like to see the entire corrupt, diseased and irrelevant structure ripped open and exposed for the creeps they (mostly) all are

If anyone should be upset by lack of witnesses to build a case, it should be the president who was never allowed to present his side of anything during the House process. None of the witnesses called were in his defense.

But you don't see them whining about it in the Senate although they have a list they'd like to call if they have to go to the mat on it.

Biden did wrong in vice presidency? Ok. Hold him accountable.

But Trump may be actively doing wrong in his presidency.

Hold him accountable.

Let's get witnesses. Vote for them. Hold your senators to task.

They were. They should have brought these witnesses that they could. That the White House didn't block. They should have subpoeaned.

They put it off to the Senate and that was stupid.

But, the senate, should do what they didn't. We need first-hand accounts and they can provide that. That the house didn't do it right, doesn't mean they shouldn't.

I want the whole truth. I want firsthand witnesses. Bring them.

READ THE TRANSCIPT

Jesus I've read and heard that thing so many times...

Why doesn't the Senate want to hear from Bolton? The guy who was there?

Because he is a hostile witness full of bias and lies will flow from his dirty mouth? Of course the house only has hostile witnesses who have a big grudge against Trump, because if they were neutral and honest that sure wouldn't help the democrats snip show. It isn't like anything has helped them either way so far as well.

If only you could have a real pure Kangaroo court that congress controlled the entire delusion all the way through, then your dream might come true.

Other than the 17 that the House called?

Hell, I want a unicorn named Gary.

Guess neither one of us gets to have what we want.

No?

Trump himself has been invited to testify.

Anyone he wants could testify.

These things don't happen.

Why's that?

In America, you don't have to prove your innocence, others have to prove your guilt.

Not from around here are ya.

That explains a lot.

A Trial Without Witnesses

Pretty much game over for the Never Trump camp now.

No more grandstanding.

No more constitutional 'experts' asked about if their feelings got hurt.

I was walking by the tv earlier and Schiff was speaking.

I promptly flipped him and my tv the double middle finger.

I absolutely loathe their coup attempt, and ever single one of those #'s
