Poker Craze, has it got you ?

I was just curious how many members here are into the Poker Craze that has hit the world ?

I've played your basic poker games since I was a teen, over the past 7 years been playing nickle / dime poker with the Girlfriends family...

But now... look out.. it's Texas Hold'em around the world.

I play 2 nights a month,

like tonight, it's Omaha
next Wed night is Texas Hold'em.

These are family games. $10 and $15 dollar buy in, 6-7 players, 2-3 winners.

It's mainly for fun.

I'm planning on entering a tournament or two some time this summer. I also am planning on heading up to the casino in Detroit, playing some hold'em at the low stakes table.

So how many of you play ? Maybe we'll get an ATS member game together sometime ?

Yeah it has, we play ever month or so, and then once a year we are having "big Money games" They take all day, there are usually 40 or so players, and the winner takes home 1K

I play quite a bit and have played for years. I use to play 3 or 4 times a week but just don't have the time and i have entered a few tournaments. So i'm limited to once a week at the moment but would play everyday if i had the chance...

Well, last night was Omaha night,, due to illnesses, we only had 4 players...

I finished 1ST !!!


It was cool.. took one player out with a full house... Aces over Kings..

and won the game on 4 of a kind.. I had a 9 in my hand and the flop was

10 2 9... 9.... 9.. that was awesome becuase the other player had a 10 in his hand and made the full house, he moved all in and I called..
Yahoo... I win...

been a while...

anyone else play ?

I've been playing in another weekly game with some guys I know..

$10 buy in... usually 10-12 players... I've finished 3rd for the last three weeks... :shk::shk:

I recently learned playing poker on the slot machines of Atlantic city. After investing $5 and spending 1.5 hours, I came back with a whopping $4.75.

Now, I just have to figure out the rules :shk:
